Not sure I would call neath a dark narrow valley. It is town on the tidal River neath which is where Ben Davies and Connor Roberts where born. Huw Jenkins was born even nearer the sea in a village called Jersey Marine on the edge of the sand dunes.
Wales get £130 per person under the Barnett formula for every £100 they get in England.
According to maths 30/100 is 30%. Not sure where your 8% came from.
The 29% of children living in poverty is purely an arbitrary figure based on some dubious facts. One of them is the family income being 60% of average earnings. Even if you double everyone's wages there would still be 29% in poverty.
Another nonsense factor they use is children sharing a bedroom.
I doubt anyone in the third world would consider the UK poverty striken.
You don't like the result of the referendum. Wales voted to leave the EU . Time you accepted the will of the majority rather thsn push an idea that only 20% of Wales support. The other 80% wish to remain part of the UK.
Can you just answer ONE question for a change. Why would Wales vote to leave the democratic UK and then surrender thier sovereignty to the undemocratic EU?
There are 44 countries in Europe only 27 of them are in the EU not all as you claim.
The senedd has never cared about Wales, except the Cardiff area. If they did they would have invitested in infrastructure like the fully funded m4 relief road.
Despite getting 30% more funding per person than England, education standards are the lowest in the UK. NHS waiting list in Wales are the longest in the UK.
It they were nationalised they would be running at huge losses paid by the taxpayers and subject to continual industrial action by unions.
Nationalised industries are always inefficient and over manned. You only have to look at our civil service to see that. Still producing 6% to before covid despite an extra 200,000 civil servants.
Does that mean that the over 3 million who were not there for the March do not support independence?
All large polls consistently have results that only 20% of Welsh voters support independence.
It is very strange that the same people who support independence from the United Kingdom also support surrending independence to the non democratic EU.
No credible plan on how was would afford independence without the huge sums of money it receives from the government.
Typical of Labour. The Labour Senedd government have been shafting Wales for 25 years and now UK labour join in . Still I expect the people in the valleys will still keep voting labour because their dads and grandads did.
