Yep I thought his take on Furlong possibly being ill etc lost him some credibility, though the broader argument of assuming the worst I thought possibly still stood, I think I’m guilty of it at any rate. |

Just read Matt Winton’s piece via QPR Report on Twitter. Did make me question what we do/don’t know. Eg could Furs have been fed up that of his cup winning team some were turfed out straight away, others not given the chances perhaps he thinks they should have. While we’ve bought some good young players this season hasn’t seen the same opportunities given to our youngsters as last year. Has that caused a disconnect with Furs being more loyal and the new regime more ruthless? I don’t know, but then even the really well informed here with the inside track may not have the whole picture. What I do know is that if someone as well respected, well liked and from all you hear good as his job is being booted out I am very glad he does so off the back of that cup win, he leaves at the top, held held high, CV enhanced and hope he lands a decent gig soon. |

If Furs has been booted then that’s a real shame. He gets the club, has delivered results and always comes across as a really good guy. Sort of person you’d surely want around your club. Bad move from our GPT wunderkid. My guess is the sort of thing he’ll reflect on in 20 yrs time as part of his learning curve. [Post edited 25 Nov 19:43]

Burrell is unstoppable. Stretches play, offers an out and crucially keeps scoring. |

For balance loads of people round me were vocally annoyed about the lack of and then nature of our subs - crying out for Saito/Smyth to be brought on. Flip side there was more a sense of relief we got a draw, not frustration we didn’t win, and I think Sheff U will climb the table so a point was a decent result. |

JS takes credit with the transformation under his watch. I was adamant before and after Watford he couldn’t play in a two. Can’t remember if it was that game or another where the oppo scored from a corner where Madsen had been left back to cover - critically I saw that as despite being 6 foot 4 he wasn’t trusted to try and head the ball, then he was too naive to break the break with a foul and too slow to catch up to the breakaway. Nice guy, but totally wrong league for him, poor signing, get rid or at the very least play him as a ten in front of two dogs of war. What’s happened since has blown me away! I could t have been more wrong and never been as happy to be!! 1st name on the team sheet now. |

Whoever hired JS deserves credit for bringing in a manager who didn’t tick the yes man box. Post Coventry he ignored whatever he said in interview and did his own thing. After that game Nourri will have been pretty powerless, skating thin ice with owners to report into. I’d imagine he calculated that the owners probably cared more about results than game models and anyway when you ship 7 any talk about riding out the storm flies out the window - so one way or another pragmatism took over and all the better for it. As to what happens to the gameplay henchman I’d guess he’s just tasked with adopting a different game plan throughout the club. More physicality, direct etc. if he’s so ideologically opposed he can’t bring himself to do that he’ll have to leave. |

Exactly this - my 5 yr old has been doing the celebration all weekend. |

The main thing with Madsen is that he’s tackling player and winning headers. His quality on the ball has always been there. Last few games he’s been really good and exactly what we’ve been missing for years. |

Agree with all of the above and add to that we have a bat shit crazy manager who breaks all the rules - and it’s working! Once upon a time we couldn’t go out unless we had three centre backs. Marti proved if you occasionally pass the ball to each other you can get away with two. But two holding midfielders and one up top seemed a non negotiable. Our new man is consistently playing Madsen in a two, plus two up top! A goal up with 15/10/5 minutes to go and surely he’ll take off a striker and bring on some stodge. Nope, just waxes lyrical after the game about not bringing on Dembele! I can’t remember ever having a manager like this at Loftus Road?! And right now I’m loving it. |

The thought he looked slightly quicker yesterday too - maybe just sharper but collected a couple of balls I thought he’d be 2cnd too. |

Manchester based with no skin in the game, but played vets football for past 8 yrs and absolutely loved it. Fully recommend to anyone in two minds about giving it a go/feels too old etc. hopefully it cracks on in whatever guise. |

Hold on - he had a good game today and I like him. But you’re not saying overall he’s been good? Or even worse that anyone who thinks - overall - he hasn’t been good is uneducated 😂😂 Hopefully I’ve misunderstood …. |

Won 3 headers I saw - maybe more. Ran a man off the ball playing full back. Very nearly tackles someone. Lot of progressive passing, pass of the game to Smyth. As a midfielder in a two he wasn’t always where he should have been and Varanne at times did two men’s jobs. But much much better and far better than I expected before the game. Can he play in a 2 away from home against a good team. I don’t think so, but hope he proves me wrong. Good game today and deserves plaudits - well done to the QPR superstore - maybe when you’re done motivating you could send out my order, only been 30 days! |

He’s had surgery. He won’t have made that up. Scans etc. if he hadn’t had injury problems he’d never have ended up here. Fit, firing he’s class. Probably mid prem class. Never understood - as frustrating as it is - why anyone would give (genuinely) injury prone players a hard time. It’s shit being injured, he’ll want to play football. Hopefully comes back strong and post surgery has a decent run of it. |

We’ve lost our best defender in Edward’s, contrived to promote our 2cnd best goalie, downgraded an OK left back and lost Colback’s bite. Our strikers don’t strike. Meanwhile we’ve bought in players who’ve all shown flashes, but may take some time to bed in. Tactically there’s not much to hang on to, so far so bleak. But who knows?! Preston are as a good a team to start off with, if we beat them maybe that starts a bit of a run. |

Remember some pretty heated conversations in the Green back then! He was 100% divisive and for a period on the wrong side of rangers history. That said overall think he’s a good egg and like others have said has done a lot for the club. Good appointment. |
