| News Comment | Ellis Simms to choose Coventry City ? Piroe transfer update at 07:30:31
Of course there is also talk of Nottingham Forest expressing an intrest in Piroe, so there could still be a Premier League move on the cards. We know that Forest spent millions last season on a return to the PL so maybe Cooper will come calling. There's a long way to go in this window and I'm sure much will happen before the end of August. |
| News Comment | It’s June 2nd so where is the announcement ? at 07:41:32
Is the issue as to when Saints were relegated? We know they were relegated long before the final match of the season and maybe at that polnt discussions with RM started, so were they then a Championship club? Of course we will hold out for the best deal but it would be good if it were sorted. Both Southampton and Swansea city are losing time when matters could be moved on and the work of new managers started. Maybe today will be the day! |
| News Comment | Has Russell Martin got any choice but to do this ? at 09:28:01
I see your point but a bit of a no win for RM really. Play the youngsters and lose and the fans would be up in arms saying that this isn't the time for new blood, we could get into a relegation battle. Play the regulars and it would echo the same old, same old with the fans still concerned about a relegation battle. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Not a good time for Mr Martin I fear. |
| News Comment | Swansea City : Okay let’s pause for breath, we all get angry sometimes at 08:44:55
Agreed! We were all angry but probably not as angry as RM. It's OK to show such emotion but to benefit one must channel their anger. I'm sure the manager and the team will have learned much from those disastrous last 5 minutes and have the perfect opportunity to show so on Saturday against Luton. Overall a much improved performance and I agree with the article that we should all take a breath and try and keep things in perspective. Onwards and upwards COYS. |
| News Comment | Swans Paying Price For Previous Transfer Dealings at 09:34:49
It's all well and good to criticise certain signings we have made but to be honest they seemed to be good ones at the time. Tabanou was getting rave reviews across France and Eder had a CV which you have to say was impressive and as I recall the vibe from the fans was that they were good signings. The fact that they didn't perform here cannot be blamed on the decision makers. As they say " Hindsight is a wonderful thing" |
