This will be my 10yr old daughter's first Away game, long in the diary due to a Leicester living (grand)mother(in-law). I have told her that it will be miserable with QPR losing from early on and lots of sad/angy people shouting rude words at people they love for letting them down. And no Jude the Cat. She's still up for it though, saying "things never turn out like you think". 0-1 Rangers, in honour of her wisdom and resilience. |

The Italian leagues have deep play offs for both promotion and relegation. Perugia, my Italian team ( you don't have one?) have gone both up and down quite often via them. I quite like it, as it maintains interest longer onto the season, but I understand the reasons against. Money distribution between leagues, and maybe a wages cap, feel more pressing to me. |

Forest f**ked by missionaries? Loved Chinua Achebe’s book but struggling for a better specific link to last night's events. Changing of the guard? Culture clash? Culture collapse? Toxic masculinity? Or are we going Jon Ronson and the origins of culture wars tropes? Please do tell! |

Of course! New Year's day fog. Many thanks. And indeed we will learn if there is to be an explosion of fan grief today, after hitting a rich vein of form, have we reached a pocket of foul gas? |

Over the years I have enjoyed very much having my cultural horizons broadened by this forum, spending more time than i should chasing down ones i don't recognise, but this one has me stumped. What is the connection between coal mines and Norwich please? 3-1 Rangers. |

While we have improved over the first half of the season, and can reasonably expect to improve some more in the second, so have and will other teams. Also, while the squad depth is also better, there are a couple of injuries to come I fear that will be more significant. Burrell or Mbengue or Madsen perhaps. Julien may have or find solutions, but I am not predicting more points second half of the season. Finally tally around 60 I think. Doesn't mean I'm not keeping my work calendar light around May. Hope of playoffs remains unsurpressable. Loving this season. |

How does anyone even learn to do that? It really is a pretty amazing thing to do. Best goal celebration ever? |

Having self learnt Ancient Greek from books to GCSE standard I thought I'd have a go at Amharic because of a family connection and a few visits to Addis. My memory is appalling now though so no amount of Apps, books or flashcards worked. More recently I have gotten over my shyness and just gone and sat in Ethiopian restaurants on Blackstock Road. Chatting really is the best way. Language is coming on nicely now, and I'm getting to eat lots of the amazing food! Another advantage is you get the idiomatic little phrases that make up so much of conversation, but rarely appear in books. |

20+ years ago I had an article published about ampersands. True story. Living in Brighton & Hove at the time. One of only two cities in the world with an & in their name. Other in Australia IIRC. |

Just to say that Katie (E-Commerce Manager / Assistant Store Manager) sorted the QPR cash out for me finally. Katie is the one! For future reference. I have now set her to hunt down my lost loyalty points, but that may be a bridge too far. |

I think email addresses are the problem. Whoever created the new account used the same email address as I already had an account under. I didn't create it, as you can't have two account with the same email, so it must have been someone in the box-office or at the club. When they tried to merge the accounts they in fact deleted my old account, then re-instated it, and now I'm left with a mess and lost loyalty points. It doesn't sound as though this has happened to anyone else though, which was what I was posting to discover. I'll just have to live with it or start again with another email address. I am a bit upset at having all my online supporting history erased. |
