Very noticeable that. Team News conspicuous by its complete absence. Concerning - maybe. |

Excellent article Dorse - thank you - so easy to read and , imho, sums up perfectly our journey over the past 20/30 years. I've got to say I still perhaps have more sympathy and respect than most(?) for Neil Critchley during his short time here. He came across as a thoroughly decent hardworking guy doing his best with a collection of individuals who, for whatever reason, weren't having him. His post-Fleetwood interview was just someone having the temerity to be honest and straightforward. I'm really pleased (and not surprised) he appears to be turning things round at Hearts. Love Marti - but Critchley could well have been one we missed. |

Dave: 'A Kick Up The Rs?!?!' Disgruntled QPR fan(s) exiting any ground in any era: 'Kick in the bllx, more like...' Dave: 'Oh no, they'd still miss....' Absolute legend. Get well soon Dave, and very best wishes to you. |

I've never seen anything like it. Where will the world be by the next Presidential Election (Nov 2028...atm...)? Will there be a world?... |

I never understood that famous line. I think that was the idea. Wonderful role, wonderful actor in all his roles. RIP Popeye. |

I'll ask this once and once only because its prob. total rubbish and I wasn't at Fratton today or any away game this season. But a question does gnaw away at me and has done often since the New Year: I reckon Marti/Zavi are an exceptional coaching team and all the evidence since Nov 2023 indicates that QPR players think the same. Do you think that some of our players (The 'Generals' or whoever) phone in the odd game(s) to keep Marti/Zavi under the footballing media parapet and at our club for as long as possible? The logic being that an exceptional coaching team helps their careers in the medium and long-term (as opposed to short-term gain). We know that players can, and have, got gaffers the sack when they're not having them (Leicester looking certain to be the latest example) - does it work the other way too (ie retain-and-entrap them for personal gain)? Prob way too cynical/conspiratorial (based on the Sat evening frustration of another away defeat) but nothing in the modern game would surprise me. |

Do you mean the 7-0 home win against Burnley in 1979 when all our players (Allen, Goddard, Roeder?) consoled Billy O'Rourke (now RIP sadly) who was the debutant Burnley keeper? Allen got 4 IIRC. Happy Days under The Doc. [Post edited 16 Feb 22:04]

A good, hard-working, well-coached, team of 11 men sits in 11th place tonight with 11 wins, 11 draws and 11 defeats. Nice. Well Done Rangers. |

0-3. Can't see it, I'm afraid. Literally and figuratively. The romance.... [Post edited 14 Feb 17:52]

'Theirs was an ebullient first movement, purposeful and threatening, like a Vaughan Williams symphony.' Absolutely. Superb analogy, superb report, fkn annoying result. Thank you. |

Am still particularly angry and dejected today - and we didn't play badly at all. We've played so much worse this season (Oxford H first half, Bristol City away) and got good results. Yes, it's the manner of the last-ditch defeat but, for me, a tight 1-0 defeat away to Coventry still has a particularly horrible, historical, resonance.... [Post edited 12 Feb 20:34]

They actually reached the Semi-Finals of the ENGLISH FA Cup many, many, many years ago. Still have the most Scottish Cup wins (10) outside the Old Firm. A grand old, old club - crucial to the development of football in Britain in the 19th century. Very pleased for them, but I guess yet another Celtic treble is now utterly certain. |
