No it wasn't good last night - lacked any precision in the last third, slower build up play, too many 50/50 or completely loose balls. We got away with a point. I have never moaned about referees before, and the ref wasn't the reason for the outcome, but he was particularly poor, even in this league. So many fans criticise VAR, but it's far better to have it than the standard we're seeing from referees in this league this season. ne final gripe, I'm sure most commenting on here were either there or watched the game live - I'm not saying SC had a great game, but he made some good runs forward, some good passes and interceptions/tackles - got back very well on one particular occasion to halt a breakaway - to have him as the player with the lowest rating is unbelievable - I'm not sure what some people are watching.... |

I Would, were you actually at the game!!!????I have no idea why FD comes in for so much criticism from a chosen few. Not only his work rate is impressive, but he's one of the very few players who is prepared to carry the ball and take chances to open up opportunities. Plus the number of tackles and interceptions he makes are endless. Our problem definitely does not stem from central midfield. With FD and SC there, we're stronger now than when in the prem. With MF gone, we lack the creativity in midfield, and , of course, the ability to put away those few chances we make... |

Comments such a those for DPeps are just anal...'Holgates first game so I forgive him'!!!! Seriously???? He's a highly paid professional footballer,so no excuse for that performance...which obviously includes RM...how can any manager pick him above Charles, who was, imo, very unlucky to lose his midfield role let alone not at least CB before MH!!
Last week Nick defended RM as his ówn man in preferring manning to Perraud....decisions like that only work if they're the right ones!!
I was at the game yesterday, and came away totally embarrassed. Sunderland will not get close to getting out of this league, and they hammered us 5 - 0 ....Nick, I'm hoping for an honest verdict from you...RH has to wake up. Charles and our best players do not need to be wrapped up in cotton wool at this stage...maybe in December with 4 games in 12 days understood....use the squad, but nobody should try and defend his selection yesterday....plus RH has to recognise his mistakes, of which Manning is one.... |
