I presume the anti Nardi chat is just copium in case he leaves, cos he was one of our best players last season and I personally think it's a significant reduction in quality to the next off the rank

The Second Tier guys pretty obviously don't actually watch the matches they're talking about and just trying to get the outrage economy to pay for their replica shirts. It's actually embarrassing listening to them

Embarrassingly better informed and prepared than pretty much everyone else in football writing & coverage

I also bumped this thread due to what I thought was the significant news that one of the world's most used AI platforms is calling itself MechaHitler, but it's gone straight back to "echo chamber vegans" never change LFW

Counterpoint: have you seen what people do on Facebook under their real names?

Anonymity is a red herring

Since this seems to be the catch all social media thread - I see Twitter's AI grok is advocating a second Holocaust today.

Isn't it widely agreed that 370 was murder suicide by the pilot and the reason we've never found the plane is because the Malaysian government won't sanction a search based on the pilot doing it on purpose

I'm not and never have been a fan, have often veered between disinterest and outright disdain (musically, Liam might actually be the funniest guy on earth, recent casual racism aside) but fair play to them, adding the extra guitarist really beefed them up, they sounded pretty good. Nice that Liam's voice returned once he stopped doing so much gear too

I usually love the Lions, but have not got into this series at all.

Brumbies team looks like the test team, though personally I'd have Bealham over Furlong who barely belongs on tour based on the last two tears, and I'd move Curry to 6 to play him and Morgan in the same back row, but Faz seems determined to play Chessum or Beirne at 6. I know Farrell loves "cohesion" and will either pick the Ireland or Scotland centres, but personally I'd love to see an Aki/Jones axis, would cook.

Nah, Schmidt is a genius level coach who came in and master minded the All Blacks toppling Farrell in the quarter final (the tactics had his finger prints all over it). This is gonna be a battle. The main issue for Australia is that they are hilariously ill disciplined, often in games and give away stupid pens that halt their momentum

Film 2025

I thought it was a total mess (the grading and quality of the shots would change mid scene?????), but I respected that they didn't do what everyone expected, and I ended up really liking where Ralph Fiennes took things and actually found it quite moving. Like a zombie A Monster Calls. I think I really don't like Boyle's direction though.

But nothing, nothing in this world prepared me for the final two minutes. Absolutely deranged. My jaw was on the floor. Possibly the hardest left field turn a film has ever made

Brought my wife along to the Leeds game when our group had a spare. Couple of weeks later a Spurs mate gave us his tickets for their Palace game cos he'd been at the semi final and we'd recently moved in round the corner. At half time Mrs Robith turned to me and said "this is shit compared to QPR". It's been a great success

god Seb Payne, what an absolute gimp. Had a decent enough career in journalism, threw it all in the bin to be rejected by, what, five? Tory constituencies, then his wife left him

On growing the fan base, when safe standing first started, it was often quite empty, but it's been really noticeable not just how much it's filled up, but the age profile of who has come in.

It's mad how often I'm in a pub and meet a young lad who has started following us in the last couple of years cos of the experience. Though, at the risk of sounding like an inverse snob, they are often quite posh

Except it doesn't. X has bled users and now is behind Reddit in terms of monthly users in the UK.

QPR on twitter may have half a million followers, but engagement tops out at about 10k. There are so many dead accounts on there, and since Musk's acquisition is swamped with blue tick spam.

This isn't a case for blue sky continuing, but the club should be planning for a no twitter world focusing on Insta, YouTube and Tiktok. The platform is rotting.

Id also recommend people check out the championship sub Reddit. Is legitimately very funny
