A third of the way through the season and certainly looks like 3rd time unlucky regards another miracle Championship survival run. Not too many R's look invested at the moment and we certainly can't take a trick but as has been well documented too many new players not gelling, inability to score despite creating opportunities & costly injury to our better performers. As bad as it has been in my six decades of supporting this Club. Doomed indeed. |

A great seasons work once again Clive 48 pieces of all around utterly readable and immensely enjoyable reports. Probably felt more like 148 tho' this season ?! Walsh was excellent between the sticks and hopefully may get his chance next season to contribute more like a genuine keeper should ? The 24/25 season is a big opportunity for the club to buck our trend and with Martis smarts reach up the rungs. |

Wonderful report Clive thanks for the 5 decade wonder wander back down memory lane holding back the H2O and into that stupendous penultimate cop that Leeds Friday night triumph. Just couldn't have scripted that outcome any better. GA did a great job last season to keep us up and Marti repeated the dose this year but with much much more hope and purpose for 24/25 !? There is just nothing like Loftus Road in full rock 'n roll roar when the side is humming and I am looking forward to heading back from Oz next year and cutting through the off Uxbridge Rd backstreets for a match or five. |

Pretty good summation Clive from what I saw. Yep you bet, Begovic now past his use by date and more & more of a risk with each game. The scenario you have mapped out for him is spot on and just hope he has a couple of match winning saves left in him !!? R's physically and mentally spent in the 2nd half and really needed to go in a goal to the good at half time. Still in it tho' and lucky Baggies had a big second half at the JS Stadium & helped out with some goal diff as well !! |

Magnificent performance on a special night and yes deserved all 3 pts somehow snatching only a point from the jaws of victory. 3 day turnaround will test the full starting side and trusting MC will work his magic shuffling the squad around. TA Clive mag bloody nificent, purposeful and professional and playing with tactical nouse. It won't necessarily be easy to keep the current form going but we've given ourselves every opportunity to stay up sooner rather than later. Great work Clive. Encapsulates the R's to a tee. Swab & pickle juice must've worked pre Robins ! Something did, maybe the shame that was called out post Stoke "effort" ? A worthy professional football performance and as a result 3 points to the good. Congrats on the turnaround are due. The pressure ratchets up again over the week with the worst away team in the Div playing the worst home team in the Comp !! Can we finally, finally get the victory that sees us poke our noses up out of the swamp or will we succumb to the home ground hoodoo in front of the disgruntled natives ? A betting man would have quids on the Millers getting something out of the game perhaps ?! |

Thanks Clive you've identified fight, desire, belief, game plan & a sense of entertainment in a side that has been largely bereft of these professional essentials for a good while. While not the full 3pts we can finally see a team competing to get the essentials right under MC whose savvy Jan pick ups are setting the new standard. Just waiting for the match when Armstrong gets his game altogether and belts the opposition. Stoke would be a good start. Seriously think we have a better chance than ever of climbing the basement stairs and avoiding our current cellar. Reckon it is more than hope for a change !! |

Yes Clive, it's faint and most likely a candle flame fretting on the next cross breeze but that second half effort was a performance almost forgotten re the ability of these players. Now the worries really begin knowing what this team remains capable off and praying to the football gods it doesn't vanish again into the ether. Still ultra nervous months ahead with a mountain to climb but I am seeing that the belief is now there & the side is enjoying it's football again . Hallelujah ! Injuries ? |
