Saints At Birmingham The Preview

I'm with you with Sharp, straight in the side, Lambert will make it easy enough to bring Sharp right into the game, and I could see Sharp scoring if he plays. Chaplow on the right if fit, otherwise Punch if not too tired, and its excellent to have him back. Hammond (just above Morgan to whether the storm) and Cork in the middle. The rest as it was against Cardiff. COYS.

Good passionate post Michaeljoy, didn't mean for a full on apology, but tend to revert to diplomatic mode a bit quick! Like many, having a great season.

Ok I jest a little. I think there has been a fair bit of bad luck away, but no, that shouldn't be an excuse. I'm preparing myself for a tough second half of season, but feel positive (at the moment) that with players back and signings, that we can achieve promotion hopefully through the automatics. And hopefully the away form will pick up, cos like you say, it just has to.

I do feel that Adkins is the fella to do this, as he is so meticulous with his preparation and planning. With regards to winning matches, maybe thats why I still feel OK, we've won a fair few.

Saints V West Ham The Verdict

Good review Nick. Thouroughly enjoyed the game. Most impressive (apart from a hard working performance by all) was Hooiveld, Fox and Chaplow. Would like to see De Ridder feature more, as he adds a different quality asides from just speed, for me anyway. Good to see the team perform without Lallana, although of course it would of been great to have him yesterday. Good stuff.

I think De Ridder probably also has a bit more than pace.

I don't think a majority of readers of this site are so naive as to believe that the way the official site explain the game is gospel. Thats a dead end Nick. I feel a lot of us see the grey area in between, i.e. the positives! Its not a bad shade of grey either as we are doing ok, and a bit more than! I'm sure additions will be made Jan, but its a tough league, we are trying to play a certain way (positively) and still a work in progress. Lets get 3 points against Watford.

Should We Go For Beattie
at 11:30:02

I'm not so sure that we are so reliant on Lambert as the pivotal player all the time. He often drops deep like most of our forwards can, and we certainly don't repeatably hoof the ball up to Lambert. His all round play is great and he picks a pass, drags defenders away to create space and of course can score. I feel that Guly can do a job up front, as a back up.

Saints At Leicester The Verdict

Hi there everyone I'm new.

Always read comments here as a contrast to not 606, and find these reports pessimistic to be honest, but often fair to a point.

However, Can not agree with the comment about Lambert standing up to the bamba challenge! The guy came flying from behind lambert with his weight and momentum and practrically flatened him, think about the physics of that! And did we not start to play our way into the game 1st half, and got a goal back. The Lambert goal should never have stood. Didn't know there have been three medicals for three defenders. Maybe we needed to loose a game to shock us into what defeat feels like. I think we'll carry on strong, and hopefully add in next week make some additions to the defence.
