glad to hear that, one of my best mates is seeing them tonight in the NW. We were due to see Toots just before he popped off ad the gig was cancelled. Fantastic band.

Jimmy Dunne Will he stay or will he go
at 13:03 17 Apr 2025

really hope that he has simply delayed signing until we were safe in the championship, but suspect there will be a big financial offer from a parachute club looking to consolidate their squad after getting rid of some big prem wages.

from our perspective we could/should break the bank to keep him (in terms of our bank, not the stupid money elsewhere) as we know what he can do and may have to fork out ££££ for a replacement who will also want decent money.

invest the fee in keeping him...... it never makes sense to me when clubs let players go on a free who might have stayed for the right money; then spend a fortune buying in an unknown who still wants a big salary. might pish off other squad members, but that is just the way it goes.

QPR have a less than 0.1% chance of being relegated...
at 12:24 17 Apr 2025

a bit like last year, the bottom clubs have all hit a bit of form.

the bottom 5 have only lost 8 of their last 30 games (6 each) with only 3 losing 2 out of 6.

they have also won 11 of those 30, so any other time of the season those stats would look ok. thankfully Lootown, Plymuff and Derby Fookin VVankers were so far off the pace prior to that we should be ok as we are now 2 defeats in 6.....

gotta love the Championship for its level of mental every year

after the Bardiff draw i wasn't as optimistic, but the subsequent results should have sorted us out

65 is no age; having got past throat cancer he then succumbed to pneumonia.

very good actor in some absolutely huge films; Heat being my fav of the biggies.

other than that loved him in the quirky Kiss Kiss Bang Bang playing a gay hitman with Robert Downey Jr

went a couple of years ago with mates and all of the above suggestions pretty much cover it, lovely city to visit..

Auschwitz is a truly horrific place and i'm glad i did it on the last day of the trip; but pleased that i did go. It should be on everyone's agenda to appreciate what a horrible lot humans can be.

Spanish synthy version of Your Love; personally i love it and dropped into an eclectic set works really well.

Introduction to the demon drink
at 06:27 22 Mar 2025

Hayes Working Men's Club family bar on a Sunday lunch after playing football. Dad would let me have a pint of shandy at around 13 and by 16 it was lager and lime; mum often surprised how sleepy i was after my football exertions when spending the afternoon napping on the sofa.

other than that it was in the pub with mates at the weekend from 15; being 6'5" i was sent to the bar to act grown up. How the hell we got served is a mystery, other than them not giving a sh*t. Then the Brook House (or Kings as it was briefly during the fledgling days of MTV) by 16; looked like our school's youth club on a Friday and Saturday.

fell asleep; missed middle 40 minutes so don't think i actually missed anything

very drab; and why Henderson is even in the squad is a mystery to me.

Gibbs-White has been outstanding for Florist and needs blooding in. Henderson has been a very good player, but surely is past it now; particularly given there is someone there ready to play that position.

The 'problem' , for me, is with TT having a relatively short contract and just wanting to win the WC is he'll take the very shirt term view. If he does win it, then he's a genius..... many more games like last night and ultimately failure and there will be a different view of his reign

one of the best live performers I've ever seen; a great singer and the best choreographed show for sure. Mad as a box of frogs!

era defining band for many of us. Regardless of what you were into The Jam were always there, smashing the charts without being 'pop'.

great drummer and someone that I've never heard spoken about badly.

have seen From The Jam a few times in recent years but it was only Bruce left at that time; still a good nostalgic night out.

Neil Warnock on Sky as a pundit for Leeds/ Sunderland
at 08:27 20 Feb 2025

managing a football club is not a popularity contest; otherwise Neil would probably never have got a job.

but to have managed so many tinpot clubs and achieved promotions or staved off relegations (in our case, both, in consecutive seasons) over the course of decades in the game, means he will leave a legacy as a top class manager.

abrasive, dodgy, rude, self centred........ applies to many of the most successful managers.

i have nothing but fond memories of Warnock's time in charge of us; that period gives me loads of stand out memories that i'll cherish for ever.

anyone who could harness the mental that was Taraabt and convince a team including Sean Derry and Clint Hill to support that lunatic, rather than throttle him after training has something special about him. Let's never underestimate what he achieved for us.

Then thrown under the bus by the F1 crowd when he needed some support to strengthen the squad.
