Andy Gurney was signed from Swindon by Jackett, to add experience to the Swans defence. Andy put in some good performances and went about his work quietly, the right back - who can also play in centre midfield - is an expert at set pieces, scoring goals from free kicks and penalties at Swindon.
The former Reading man was surprisingly placed on the transfer list at the end of last season by Kenny Jackett. Andy also had the fans on his back at the end of last season and became a scapegoat. Gurney has experience at League 1 level - With Swindon and Reading - and he will want to prove to Kenny and the fans that he is worth his place in the team.
