It's Been A Good Knight For Jackett

With all the speculation being around whether it would be Holt or Fallon who signed, Jackett trumped everyone with a move for the minute striker who scored 27 goals in Brighton's promotion season from League One two years ago.

Knight is rumoured to have had a falling out with manager Mark McGhee in recent weeks and it appears that the differences were not reconcilable and the Scotsman has let his man go for what appears to be a real bargain fee.

The move for Knight does not kill of a move for Holt or Fallon and Jackett is rumoured to still want one of these two players at the club in the very near future.

In addition, Andy Sandell from Bath City and Steven Watt from Chelsea are rumoured to be targets as Jackett enjoys the New Year sales with his side in 2nd place in League One
