Saints Face Pompey At St Mary's In FA Youth Cup Tonight
Tuesday, 10th Dec 2013 09:31

Saints will try to build their run in the FA Youth Cup when they face local rivals Portsmouth at St Mary's Stadium.

Saints take on the Skates at St Mary's looking to show the football world that not only do they have a crop of teenagers who have already made the first team, but that the conveyor belt is still going strong, with all players needing to be under 18 on the 31st August of this year in order to take part in this seasons competition it does man that the likes of Luke Shaw etc will not be unleashed on our rivals from the other end of the M27.

However one player who has featured on the first team bench will be, Sam Gallagher didnt celebrate his 18th birthday till 15th September of this year so therefore has qualified for this years competition by a matter of weeks, whether Saints will risk him though is another matter due to our current injury crisis meaning he could again be needed to make up the numbers on the bench up at Newcastle.

This is an all ticket game, Pompey fans have been allocated the Kingsland stand whilst home fans will sit in the Itchen and tickets are only available to those who have a previous history of purchasing tickets in the past two seasons.

Tickets for the FA Youth Cup Third Round game against Portsmouth at St Mary's on Tuesday 10th December (7pm kick-off) are now on sale to supporters with a purchase history from the 2012/13 and/or 2013/14 seasons.
