Keep faith with QPR at 6/5 - betting
Friday, 21st Feb 2014 19:33 by Andy Hillman

One winner for Andy Hillman last week, but more importantly he’s on the Tiger Cubs walk for LFW this weekend with long-suffering partner Jas and if you don’t sponsor them you’re not proper QPR fans.

Andy Hillman

A betting performance as poor as QPR were against Reading Last week, with only a single winner - Old Faithful, Roma to win to nil at home, which has come in nine times already this season. A quick plug if I may, I am part of the Tiger Feet walk from Loftus Road to Charlton on Saturday, if you’ve got a couple of quid spare, please sponsor us here.

NAP of the Week - Arsenal low scoring win vs Sunderland - Dutch both 1-0 and 2-0 @ 13/2 & 6/1

Arsenal’s last nine league games at the Emirates have all featured under 2.5 goals. You can back that market at a little over evens, or you can get creative and back the likely results instead, which are 1-0 or 2-0 Arsenal. Dutching them both yields odds of at least 3/1, much better than evens on a straight U2.5

QPR related bet - QPR to beat Charlton @ 6/5

It seems odd declaring the club in a crisis, and talking about season defining must win games when you’re sitting in fourth with a game in hand on those above you, but that appears to be where we are at the moment. QPR should have enough to beat Charlton regardless of form, fitness and circumstances. QPR don’t go above evens to win often - grab it whilst you can...

Norwich vs Spurs - HT/FT - Draw/Spurs @ 9/2

Not the most obvious bet, granted, but one that the stats lend themselves to generously. Norwich don’t really score any goals, whatsoever really - they’ve only scored four times in their last ten matches. Ten of Spurs last 12 goals have come in the second half. A goalless first half (37/19 seeing as you’re asking...) seems like the most likely result here, before Adebayor scores for Spurs sometime in the second half (11/2)

Bologna vs Roma - Roma win to nil @ 29/20

Yet another Roma win to nil this week - although this time away from home. Bologna are one of the lowest scorers in the league this season, and have only scored 12 goals at home in Serie A. They’ve also just lost their best player and top scorer Diamanti to the Chinese Super league, further reducing their attacking threat. I’ve waxed lyrical about Roma’s defensive record all season, but just to reiterate, they’ve won 13 times to nil this season, and have the best defensive record in the league by an absolute country mile. Another win to nil looks likely.

Middlesbrough vs Leeds - Leeds win @ 31/10

Middlesbrough, following a blistering start under Karanka, have firmly come out the other side of their new manager bounce, and regressed to the mediocreness (flagrant abuse of the English language — ed) that we all expect to see with them. They haven’t scored in five games, and Ross McCormack, he of a billion goals already this season including five in his last four, will fancy his chances here. Better than 3/1 for a Leeds win looks huge value...
