Two Late Goals Sink QPR Reserves
Two Late Goals Sink QPR Reserves

Despite taking the lead, QPR Reserves went down 2-1 to Hayes & Yeading at Church Road on Friday evening.

With the first team travelling to Scotland for games against Falkirk and Kilmarnock, a young R's reserve side took on Blue Square South Division outfit, Hayes and Yeading. The side was captained by left back Chris Barker and his appearance at Church Road, probably suggests that he won't be a QPR player for much longer.

The first half saw plenty of chances for both sides and Rangers could have well been 3-0 up within the first fifteen minutes. Hayes & Yeading found R's keeper, Nicky Bulmer in great form at the other end and it was somewhat surprising the teams went in at 0-0 at the break.

The deadlock was finally broken on the hour, when exciting winger Christian Nanetti fired home following good work from Chris Arthur. But the home side hit back hard and a well worked goal brought the sides level with 10 minutes to go. Hayes and Yeading went on to hit the bar twice, the second time via a spectacular bicycle kick, before clinching the win with a minute or so to go.

QPR: Nicky Bulmer, Joe Ostler, Chris Barker, Ryan Myers, Lee Brown, Chris Arthur, Matt O'Brien, Josh Ford, Christian Nanetti, Antonio German, Chris Flood.
