Wycombe Wanderers have rejected a six figure bid for their centre back Mike Williamson.

The U's confirmed that a six figure bid was made on Monday morning.  However, Wycombe have confirmed that the bid received was identical to that launched in November (thought to be £100,000) and immediately refused.

Wanderers have also released young centre back Lewis Christon today, which could leave The Chairboys stretched at the back should any deal go through.

It is not yet known whether the U's will return to make an improved offer.
