A woeful performance

Its not much use harping on about the dreadful display at Swindon on Saturday as you would hope that Nigel Adkins will come in and sort out what was basically a collection of very good players at League 1 level playing with no motivation, passiion or confidence, if ever a team has showed the world what it thought of its manager being sacked and the situation in general then it has been Saints over the past three games.

In short this has been asbad a display from a Saints team than I have ever seen in a run of games, than at any other time in the 40 years or so I have been wayching, some would say that we possibly had a few under Ian Branfoot and they could be right, however back then it was average players playing in the top division, there was at least some sort of excuse, at Swindon there was not one reason why they should play so badly, apart from those mentioned, the skill and quality was there, it was just not used or shown.

WE now have to put this whole sorry episode behind us and get on with the job of kick starting the season.

While I agree saturday was poop to refer to games in the last 40 years etc is a tad over the top.......I have seen a lot worse from far better players....this is just a bunch of ok L1 poss champ players with little confidence.....new manager will hopefully restore the confidence
