10 Years of the Frankie thread.............
Can't believe I missed the 10 year anniversary....................
Met some unbelievable quality people I know through this thread
PunteR's Saturday show was the best thing about lockdown and some weeks that was what kept me going :-)
This was the first tune I posted.....what was yours. PP's was proper;-)
Mate, thats great to hear those shows helped in some way. At the time i didnt really know what i was doing. We went from pirate , to streaming online, than we got a DAB licence, with a proper studio . I was in two minds to carry on and the subs had increased to pay for everything. In steps Goody. Got my sponsor sorted and away we go!. Always appreciate the support of this group, really means a lot. My music style has changed a bit from the early days of Deep and Soulful to a more harder sound recently. After listening to literally thousands of new tunes every week, that Deep groove just didn't cut it for me and I've gone back to my roots of Rave , breakbeat's and other delirious sounds of the past. I think the House music scene is the best its been since the 90s. Loads of events going on, and i think producers have sussed out how to genuinely create that sound from the golden years while still making it sound fresh. No longer is it some generic Tech house with a 90s sample chucked in, its now legit reboots , edits with modern technology. Baggy trousers are back, Curtains , even Es are better (allegedly). lol . Good time for us old ravers to be alive. Be lucky Rob. See you on a dancefloor soon.

Whilst I've definitely broadened my horizons over the years moving to more Disco and Funk grooving the classics will always stand the test of time and make me emotional and take me back to great time with great music.
Just heard this one. Music to my ears and tingles to my spine.

Think I might’ve mentioned that track one or two hundred times to a certain someone on here whilst a dribbling gibbon of a mess on the way home from The Ministry of Sound a few weeks ago.

Have to agree with Rob and take the opportunity to thank yourself for those Saturday shows back then, amongst all the weirdness of Lockdown RFM became a sort of focal point
Also agree there’s some proper good music about at the moment. However the classics will always be the classics and never to be beaten. For instance, the current re-edit of this is brilliant but….. that first piano key of the original will always give me a rush.
Finally my thanks to you PunteR ….. whilst it’ll never be a classic set the bucket list of playing on the radio now achieved 👍👍👍

Well said. You are obviously a legend in your own lifetime!
To carry on the theme of being unable to beat the classics;
