Mbenge and Ferrari in same sentence not something I ever thought I'd see!! I'm very much warming to him as a RB -- he really was a dive in liability in the middle of the park though. Back on thread though - consensus seems to be we only need "cover". I'd disagree. We need more reliability and quality in key areas. Goalkeeper - nuff said. CB - if the Saffer isn't deemed as one to step up then welcome to the party Ronnie Edwards (you gorgeous b'stard) - JCS simply ccannot be relied on and Cookie is sadly showing creaks and cracks and will be gone in May. Add now for the future is what I say. CM - if Chair not the answer in there then we need another progressive player. I was hoping Alfie Tuck would have a spurt season and develop well somewhere as I liked what I saw of him; doesn't seem to be happening. I'm sort of writing off Harvey Vale as been unimpressed myself. This Castledine chap seems to tick boxes from what I've read and I didn't realise he's on loan at Hudds - depends on a deal to be done as with any player I suppose. Striker - this is the most interesting for me and all depends on offloading Frey and/or Celar. As I've said elsewhere I'd wish Frey all the best and Celar I'd want shot of soon as and look to erase the total waste of money from the memory banks soon as. If Burrell injury is short term then look to add just the one player here but ideally two if both the aformentioned go. Who? How? No idea... over to the Head of Performative Acts for that. It's the toughest position to fill and sadly yet again we don't seem to have a young prospect coming through unless Bennie can step up. All the above could/should be spread over two windows. Anyone we add on loan this season should be with something in place with an iption to buy and I stress option not obligation. The other real shame is that I cannot see us shifting anyone for a profit which is an abject failure of those in the seat overseeing these things at the moment. |
 | Forum Reply | W Ham losing last night good or bad thing? at 13:18 7 Jan 2026
This my view as well. They will go strong as they need a win to get things going. That aside, even with half a dozen rested they have some great players on the edges such as Potts who was very good on loan at Pompey last season, the fella with dreads who came on last night looks a player, they have a young N.I. international striker, etc, etc. I do think we'll get filled in but it's the nature of it that will be key for me. Lose with 100% effort and I'll not be too botherd - start waving the French alternative national flag with team selection and a going through the motions approach and R's fans will be rightly livid. IF they keep Nuno (which I think they will) and this game doesn't go well for them then I would expect plenty of empty seats and demonstrations from the not so 'appy 'ammers. They need seven wins and four draws minimum to stay up over the remaining 18 games to have a chance of staying up. That is a proper tough ask but still do'able but the key thing needed is confidence and momentum - where better to start than a lumpy cup win I suppose?! |

Even our Directors can't be bothered to attend......... |

Think I mentioned this before....... Chatting with a West Ham mate at work ahead of "the magic of the FA Cup" and he said QPR are being linked with an U21 player there called Mo Kante - a French lad and box to box midfielder. Sure this was noted over the summer. Know nothing else apart from Mori Kante was a house classic |

Usually the case that parent club needs to allow permission for any cup appearance for the club on loan at. Granted this isn't usually an issue that surfaces here......... |

Unfortunately I think we'll be seeing Sam at Left Back on Sunday -- I cannot see RND being allowed to play by Chef Utd. Fair play to him doing a job there but it's not one I find him suited to and if Bowen starts or comes on at anytime then grab those rosary beads and pray. (Not that I think RND or Esky would be the answer either). I'm hopeful that Sam will retun to "first name on the teamsheet" standing back nine of the season. He really has been Mr Reliable for huge parts of his time with us and I thought he was future Captain material in days gone by. |

Think they released him back into the wild after Michael Jackson died but whatever floats your boat? |

That grudge….. it’s not petty, it’s right. I’ll never forgive or forget that glorious day at Hillsborough and some of the things that went on. Fcuk em. Great report and very interesting on Dumbele there as something I didn’t see on the stream in respect petulance and Captain Dunne being a captain. He hides for huge periods of games quite well so no idea why he can’t hide his upset. Not a player I’m ever going to take to I think, shame as watching him in his debut versus Plymouth from my seat in Ellerslie my thoughts were “we’ve got one here”. We do but not what we were all hoping for. Poku - repeating myself again here. I said ages ago I’d be shocked if he made double figures for 90 minute appearances for us this season. I’m not expecting to be shocked. If he’s signed a four year deal then I’d be amazed if we get 50 full games out of him across that Contract. He’s a crock but a crock with flashes of skill and ability. Page one of our transfer policy should read “Do Not Sign Players from Peterborough or Manchester United”……… Darragh has done us up. Again. Agree with your comments on star man. Jimmy deserves it but you gotta give it to the boy Kolli. Love it |

I actually prefer the second goal Lovely to see a young lad in Morgan do some hard yards and show vision to place the header into Rayan’s path. Then, a clinical finish from a tightening angle where Rayan had to pick his spot and drive it firmly past the advancing and spreading himself goalkeeper. Think I’m into my third year saying this lad will be a player. IF he has been injured then that’s a real shame and something that needs to be worked on - I do think his physique could do with some work but glad he’s not being artificially forced at his age. IF there’s personality clash issues off the field then this is something that needs to be worked on - suck it up on “both sides”; everyone needs to focus on what’s good for Kolli’s career as that’s good for everyone. Congrats to Rayan and all involved |

I wish he’d untie that JCB tyre he seems to always drag around the pitch with him. Doesn’t do enough for me. I hear he’s 22 years old. And I also hear Kanu is still only 49 years old. If Burrell is out for a few games (hope not and sub was a precaution) then Kone needs to step it right up and make himself the main man. |

Indeed I mean just “what the hell do people expect” for a rumoured £3million? Me. I expect more. A lot more. |

Fantastic piece I’ve been sick of all the “LOL’z” and “typical QPR” shit for years. (With the “if there wasn’t something wrong with him he wouldn’t be here” line I hear people trott out a particular pet hate) Really hope for the sake of yourself and our hard working fans that the It’s Not Acceptable Club are placed on a sabbatical Sunday brunch time. STANDARDS Love from President of the It’s Not Acceptable Club (Acting) Lolz |

 | Forum Reply | Frey on the move? at 22:42 2 Jan 2026
I’ll always be grateful to Frey for the part he’s played in keeping us up whilst with us — and he did contribute. It’s a shame he couldn’t maintain a fitness level but maybe a contributory factor in that is the club as a whole and remote experts not assessing him properly from Dubai. We’ll never know. His attitude has always been spot on and I’m sure he’d love to have put more goals on the board. Incidentally, he’s averaged so far a goal every 5 and a bit games, Kone by contrast is a goal every 4 and a bit games. If the Unicorn leaves us then I wish him well |

Leo Castledine was mentioned to me earlier as a central midfielder linked on loan. I know nothing of him but apparently highly rated and at Huddersfield Way down the list for me as order of importance to me is:- Left back (established so Larkche can be understudy next season) Keeper (goal preferably but zoo or wicket if in right price range) Right back cover Centre mid animal Striker [Post edited 2 Jan 22:35]

I’d disagree. My view is Burrell is doing lots of running and closing down and Kone not doing his share. Kone has quite the knack of hiding for large parts of games. I would agree he finds himself too deep and that’s probably on JS However, he’s only demonstrated the ability to play as a point man v Charlton for me. I’m not sure I’ve seen decent, physical hold up play from him across large durations of any other times he has found himself the furthest forward forward. Fingers crossed he’ll come good and be walking round the training pitch giving “I’m the man” interviews with Charlie Austin after another four goals in quick succession |

I was never fully on board with the Kone and explosion He’s better than a lot of what has gone before him; can’t deny that. After the initial hype I noted that he just never seemed happy on the pitch and looked somewhat laboured or on the edges of games. With each passing week I’m becoming more unimpressed but wouldn’t write the fella off. However, I can’t see him being a striker at the top area of the EFL as he lacks something he’ll never have —- pace. Love to know what we paid for him. I’ve seen £3M mentioned - if so then that pound for pound a poor transfer so far (stress so far) Ive also seen £1.75M noted - if so then fair play. I can’t see him making double figures this season though as I think he’s only got four goals??? That pretty pisspoor really |
