The decision is as amusing as it was predictable. I do hope Australia and the USA, as losing bidders, take legal action on the basis they lost to an untenable bid.
Perhaps I imagined Premier League clubs demanding a winter break so that their poor, overworked prima donnas could, umm...go somewhere hot for a few weeks, play pointless exhibition games, recuperate and train. I'd say Qatar fits the bill...and if they are England players they will be home after three games. |  |

True, Lead. England stars should be returned far before Christmas to their clubs. That should have them well-rested in January.
