The lack of respect towards Garry on here is really quite sickening. Despite what's happened over the last few months the fella has been a terrific servant to the club.

He has been a great servant to the club, first as a player, and more recently as Manager. He did a great job for 18 months. But the last 3 months have been very very poor. 3 months is a long time in football, and 1 win in 12 would get most people the sack. He has to go. That's football.
He signed a very healthy deal for himself, so will have millions in the bank for it. Then can get another job very soon.

Nah. He's holding the club to ransom apparently. And by not resigning and forfeiting the pay off that his contract states he's entitled to he's deliberately preventing us from having the money to sign new players.

Respect is very hard to "earn" and GM has earned it, but it is very quickly lost.
His apparent arrogance hinted at during interviews, his obvious belief that "hard work" alone can fix things added to appearing to have lost some of the players and very poor results has lost many fan's respect for him as a "Manager".
His work ethic and own passion for the club is without doubt, but is not enough to swing the balance managerwise but does not affect respect for him as a loyal club worker. |  | | |

Respect for what Garry has achieved for the club.
However in terms of football coaching, It was telling in the interviews before the Liverpool game that Garry was talking about hard work, Klopp was talking about finding space on the pitch. There's a world of difference. |  |
