I highly recommend "The Favorite Authentic Chinese" on Brynamor Rd, just opposite The Westbourne pub in St Helens, Swansea.
Very authentic (hence the name), high quality Chinese food. Really nice owners too.

Just to let you know, because I know you'll all have been worrying about it, that we did indeed have a good meal at the Favourite Authentic last night.
Although bizarrely, when we ordered the shredded duck and pancakes to start (via me saying "we'll all start with the shredded duck, please"), they only brought one portion for the three of us. They had misunderstood the order - I thought it strange that the waitress didn't ask any questions at the time to clarify.
Apart from that, the main courses were delicious, and they brought a plate of steamed dumplings to make up for the first course error pretty quickly. They were also very welcoming and pleasant, and the owner took time to fetch my mother a little present when I told her we were out celebrating her 83rd birthday, so all in all, very good - 9 out of 10. | | | |

I went to the favourite authentic Chinese the other day. Jellyfish and cucumber salad starters delicious with mince meat and aubergine in a clay pot my mate had sticky pork I think it was so sticky it stuck to the plate it was absolutely delicious, couldn't recommend it enough. Had a nice pot of tea aswell. The dumplings were great, could pick a bad thing about it |  |

Always went to The Wild Swan but Jackie he waiter there took over The New Slow Boat and now we always go there.
A bunch of us went there before the Man City match. We had the set meal at under £6 and it was excellent. Great value. They only do it at lunchtimes though. |  | | |
