To the long ball specialists like Everton, they are willing to put a premium on the basics he gives to general play and pay another £20m for those set pieces.

Scouting is done for much more than buying someone. You can also scout players if you're going to be playing against them, and you'd like to know what their style of play and strengths/weaknesses are.
