I (regretfully) read his autobiography once, and he talks about his driver being a massive QPR fan who refused to visit Chelsea with him.

PM Bazza.

Ta.

Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?

I'll tell you what, i've heard of many more QPR fans who are/were players than i've ever met in real life outside of Loftus Road. I think we punch miles above our weight in that respect.

stuart Pearce said Dave Webb was his hero when he was growing up.
, he also went to THAT game in Norwich in 76.

barnes used to play for stowe boys club in paddington, he's on the record saying he supported QPR as a kid.

Barnes used to go to Fulham Broadway though

John Barnes went to St.Marylebone Grammar, I was a few years above him & used to run rings around him in the playground!
That school never played football, it was rugger & cricket.

John was in my year. From the third year we were in sociology, maths and chemistry class together. We used to stay behind after school and play football in the playground and at lunchtime. I can only recall him being on the losing once in 5 years. He was that good even when he joined in the first year. Represented the school at every sport except hockey as it took place on Saturday morning when he was playing rugby. He was even good at cross country when we had to run over Horsenden Hill when Rugby was called off due to snow etc.....

Read Pearce's book and he wasn't a huge Ranger, but did go.
However, the kicker is the name he bestowed upon his daughter.
Chelsea.
So clearly not much of a fan.

Bare bones.

Pearce stopped going after he trained with us as a schoolboy and he thought we had no interest in signing him. All his family were rangers fans.

We also let a young Tony Currie go, and of course told Zlatan Ibrahimovic to sling his hook!
