Our next Manager on 09:24 - May 19 with 3794 views | AnotherJohn | If we don't go for an internal appointment and don't have money, then I'd talk to Tisdale. The big problem is that with no change of ownership, we won't be able to build incrementally because of continual asset stripping. All that stuff we saw posted here last year about the benefits of time out in the Championship to regroup was pure baloney. [Post edited 19 May 2019 16:43]

We wouldn't pay Bielsa's wages when we wanted him in the Prem!

If Bielsa couldn't get the 'Mighty Lids' promoted then he'd have no chance here.

Our next Manager on 23:09 - May 18 by TheKirkyLife | I am more terrified right now than the prospect of being relegated from the Premier League. From our ex-manager pile? I'd take Guidolin or Laudrup back in a heartbeat. Pick of the bunch? Jokanovic would be dream appointment. Would be happy with Moore or Hughton just on the basis of proven Championship promotion chances. Would I give Toshack a chance? In comparison to some of the utter triple WO think we're going to end up with I'd take him in a heartbeat. |
Sousa sorted out our defence - he had to with no finance for goal scorers. Guidolin - absolutely. Laudrup - I'll start the car. Having followed Potter for so long I can't think of anyone more suited to being our manager. If I was the forgiving type I'd go with a caretaker until Potter is saved by Brighton in November and have him back. But I', not so he can **** off.

Our next Manager on 13:40 - May 19 with 3225 views | Highjack | If I could choose I would go for Steve Clarke who has worked wonders at Kilmarnock on a shoestring relying on youth and free transfers and getting them to the verge of Europe whilst playing good football. However I cannot choose. It’s the choice of those running Swansea City Football Club so they’ll probably promote someone from the ticket office on a remarkable offer of just above living wage.

Rangel with Routs would excite me but not Leon - he really didn't seem suited when he had the chance. Reading elsewhere I spotted a mention of Jens Gustafsson of Norköpping. Hadn't really been thinking outside the UK but he would tick a lot of boxes. From what I've seen of his Norköpping side they play the ball on the ground, keep possession well, pass well, attack from wide and have some grit (OK a bit dirty). Doing reasonable well on no money.

Something like this needs to happen again. Martinez got us flying. We can’t afford any manager worth his salt. And we don’t want to end up with another Bob Bradley. We want hunger and we want passion down there.

It would be a poor appointment. His record at Birmingham Derby and Stoke doesn't really make him such a top pick. Record of jumping ship for greener grass.
