Morley home league debut! 09:15 - Aug 11 with 1515 viewsdingdangblue

Amazingly this was against Southend on Oct 8th 2016!
Yesterday was his 1st home league start since then - over 1000 days later!
Crazy that he's not had a chance since then as I've been impressed with him whenever I've seen him play - his passing and positive play yesterday was superb. Definitely a prospect and a huge talent if he gets games.

Its a BRILLIANT goal to cap a BRILLIANT start by Rochdale - Don Goodman 26/08/10

I can remember watching 2 minutes of you tube highlights or something similar from that Southend game and being really impressed by a couple of things that Morley did. Surprised it's taken him so long to return.

I thought Morley was outstanding yesterday.
I spent the game comparing him to Adshead as they've often been referred to in the same breath. While both are comfortable on the ball and not afraid to tackle, Morley edges it because he's more willing to make a pass, be it a long diagonal or a defence-splitter, and he's more of a unit who doesn't get outmuscled as much.
Good luck to Adshead in the u23s league but I think Morley will prove to be the better player and, hopefully, eventually go for more than the standard 300k.

Morley has impressed me whenever I have seen him. I like the fact that he plays with his head up and has a range of passing. He also strikes the ball very cleanly. I think he is a much better prospect than Adshead and way better than Cannon was. There was no way a stranger would have picked him out yesterday as the rookie in the side.

Cannon was like a headless chicken compared to Morley yesterday.

FFS. Its one game. Lets see how he gets on over the season. Cannon performed at a good level for us whenever he got the chance to play.

He was class yesterday and arguably undroppable after that. Best player on the pitch.

He got a standing ovation when substituted. Got to stay fit, if he does he’s as good as any of the midfielders we’ve had.
