Week 29 Results

CRYSTAL PALACE 1 NEWCASTLE 0

Palace secured their first win in eight Premier League games, and registered their first clean sheet in 11 top-flight games. A great 8 got this spot-on, and a further 10 had the outcome.

LEICESTER 0 MANCHESTER CITY 1
Gabriel Jesus came off the bench to score a late winner, despite City missing a penalty. City have now failed to score from each of their last four Premier League penalties. Just the 2 had this spot-on, though 15 got the outcome.

CHARLTON 3 LUTON 1
Charlton get a precious three points in their battle for Championship survival, as they score with their only 3 shots on target. Well done to MattFlat for being the only one to get this spot-on, and a further 18 had the outcome.

FLEETWOOD 1 PORTSMOUTH 0
Fleetwood's fifth straight victory helped them leapfrog Pompey in the table and back into the League One play-off places. A magnificent 7 had this spot-on, and another 2 got the outcome.

NEWPORT 2 BRADFORD CITY 1
Newport came from behind to dent City's hopes of achieving a League Two play-off berth. Bradford have now only won once in their last 11 league games. 4 got this spot-on, with 8 more having the outcome.

NORTHAMPTON 2 EXETER 0
Northampton stopped their four-game losing run as they moved back into the play-off places. Nobody had this spot-on, but 8 did get the outcome.

Six games that looked tight beforehand produced five home wins and a routine win for Man City, with the total 127 points achieved giving us the third best six game week of the season so far. That total included 22 spot-ons, with six members getting two each. Incredibly five had the 1-0 wins for Palace and Fleetwood, with the best being noah4x4 and basher2010 who both had the other four outcomes as well to give them a brilliant 10 points and a share of the weeks top score honour. The other three were mfb_cufc, who got an excellent 9 points, ghughes11 a very decent 8 points, and Daniel to give him a decent 7 points. The other member to have two 3 pointers was blueeagle who had the wins for Man City and Newport, on his way to a decent 7 points. Best of those to have one 3 pointer was thrillseeker, the 2-1 win for Newport, to also give him a decent 7 points.

In the Premier The incredible season for noah4x4 gets even better as he gets a double-figure score for the second week running, and the sixth one overall this season. He is now almost certain to break all records of most points, most 3 pointers, and the biggest winning margin in a season. That margin now stands at 41 points. The fight for the other Charity Shield spots couldn't be any closer with Sector4 clinging onto second spot, but only on the most 3 pointer rule, as mfb_cufc moves up four places into third. Just a point further back is thrillseeker, who moves up a couple of places this week. With last weeks third sevebalo now within two points of that spot. At the bottom a welcome 3 pointer for TheHappyGooner, but they have a lot to do to avoid being relegated after two seasons in the top flight.

In Division One Just the three outcomes for leader Blue4U2 means the 13 point lead he had two weeks ago has now been reduced to just 4 as basher2010 gets a brilliant double-figure score for the second week running, and a fourth one for the season. Having two 3 pointers for the second week running has enhanced the play-off chances for Daniel, and kept him well in contention for an automatic spot. The play-off spots remain the same as last week, with the only change being blueeagle moving up a couple of places. Another moving up two places is ghughes1, to become the closest challenger for those play-off places. Another five outcomes for unitedwhites means only Daniel has more of them than him over the two leagues, but he still has less 3 pointers than anybody after now going 38 games without one.

THE TABLES (210 out of 280 played)
(Tie-breaker: Most 3 pointers, and then the first to post)
