County cricket 13:05 - Aug 1 with 2539 views | D_Alien | Good to see Lancs back in action in the Bob Willis Trophy, a truncated version of the four-day game involving regional groups with best two teams contesting a five-day final Games played at neutral venues, 65-2 approaching lunch Would've been open to limited spectators (number-wise...) but might still be by the time the final arrives

County cricket on 13:28 - Aug 1 with 2191 views | isitme | An interesting team selection with three youngsters selected instead of Onions, Hurt and the new signing Wood. I'm not sure where Parry is? He has not featured in any warm up games. Maybe he is seen as exclusively a white ball player nowadays. Nice to see Bohannon in the runs again. Not all games are being played at neutral venues. Lancs will be playing at Old Trafford later in the summer.

Handily placed at 171-4 at tea off 58 overs, Vilas (in particular) and Croft going well First innings limited to 120 overs, a score of 350+ would put serious pressure on what was a poor Leicester team last season

Haven’t been able to find a stream for this game, so have been watching the England ODI instead. Looks like Vilas has picked up where he left off last season, thank god. With our best players on England duty or injured (and some surprise omissions), this could be a very interesting four days.

County cricket on 16:29 - Aug 1 with 2114 views | Dale92 | Hameed got some good runs for Notts, shame we let him go. Villas doing what he does yet again, I dont understand the lack of investment in the team seeming the profits they turn. Mason Crsne also picks up 3 today for Hampshire, hopefully he can get some games this year

Lancs have a decent Academy and, were it not for coronavirus, we’d also have BJ Watling and Glenn Maxwell this season too. Because there is also no crossover between Test and ODI teams this summer, we have also lost more players to the international setting too.

The academy is good but we feel like West Brom whenever we get to division 1 just about holding on or going back down bar a couple of years. Surrey got Overton for next season today we have Jimmy who doesn't play and Onions. The investment in the top talent is remiss, Jennings and Buttler seem to be the only ones. Even the 100 squad pick for Lancs was uneventful, we seem happy to bank it

County cricket on 18:28 - Aug 1 with 2016 views | isitme | Balderstone is a highly rated all rounder. I don't know much about the young seamer but I think Hartley played at Heywood in the local league. Fluck and Lavelle are good young batsmen coming through as well.

So Moulton gets a pair on debut, but at least he lasted long enough to reduce the number of overs Leicester have to knock off 150, 17ovs (8.8po) Will be interesting to see if they go for it

It’s descended into a T20 knock. Our bowling has been weak throughout, understandable given the inexperience. That said, our top order has also been brittle with far too much reliance on Vilas. [Post edited 4 Aug 2020 18:18]

Well played Leicestershire, took full advantage of our callow efforts With only five matches in each group, makes it very difficult to come back from this Meanwhile, Livingstone sits out the one-dayers while Vince and Ali fail again

County cricket on 13:53 - Aug 10 with 1534 views | D_Alien | Some good hitting by No.10 Bailey to get us the third batting point and a lead of 128 Durham currently 31-4, so looking good for a first win, providing the weather holds

Yep, good to see Hurt hurting the opposition instead of hurting himself

Again the top order fails. Hopefully they can survive 61 overs to get away with a draw.

County cricket on 17:27 - Aug 27 with 951 views | isitme | Good win for Lancs in the 20/20 with an excellent opening stand by Jennings and Davies. With international commitments and injuries to bowlers it is a scratch side but fair play to them for a good performance. Interesting to see Hartley selected ahead of Parry, who has always been somewhat of a white ball specialist.

Looking at the weather today, not optimistic about the England T20 tonight.
