Welcome to this seasons Happy Cup. The independent draw has been made for the group stage of the competition, by Mrs. MFB. They are as follows (In alphabetical order):-

The top two from each group will qualify for the quarter-finals, with the usual tie-breaker rules applying where members finish on the same number of points. At this group stage there will be 30 fixtures in total, 10 from each of the first three rounds of the FA Cup.

The quarter-final draw will be as follows:-

1) Winner of Group A v Runner-up of Group B

2) Runner-up of Group A v Winner of Group B

3) Winner of Group C v Runner-up of Group D

4) Runner-up of Group C v Winner of Group D

The quarter-finals will be decided by 10 fixtures from the FA Cup 4th Round. These will one off games, no replays, where the first to post rule could be vital.

The semi-final draw will be as follows:-

Winner of Game 1 v Winner of Game 4

Winner of Game 2 v Winner of Game 3

The semifinals will be decided by the 8 fixtures from the FA Cup 5th Round, and 2 fixtures from that weeks league programme. Again these will be one off games, no replays.

The final will be decided by the 4 fixtures from the FA Cup 6th Round, and 6 fixtures from that weeks league programme. This will also be a one off game, no replay.

The winner gets a personalised Colchester United mug.
