Week 21 Results

CRYSTAL PALACE 1 WOLVES 0

This win lifted Palace above Wolves, who are now without a win in eight games. 6 got this spot-on, and a further 8 had the outcome.

BIRMINGHAM 1 COVENTRY 1
The points were shared in the meeting of landlords and tenants at St Andrew's. A sublime 5 had this spot-on, and 2 more got the outcome.

BLACKBURN 1 LUTON 0
Adam Armstrong grabbed a 85th minute winner to take his seasons total to 17 in the league. That late winner was good news for the 3 who got this spot-on, and the 17 who had the outcome.

BRENTFORD 7 WYCOMBE 2
Brentford move up to third in the Championship, as they hammered their League 1 bound opponents. Everyone predicted a win for Brentford with an incredible 16 going for a 2-0 in what was the weeks most predicted score. Not surprisingly nobody got it spot-on.

DERBY 1 BRISTOL CITY 0
Derby claimed their third straight 1-0 league win. 6 got this spot-on, and another 9 had the outcome.

SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY 1 PRESTON 0
Liam Palmer's first goal in more than nine years gave struggling Wednesday a vital victory. 3 had this spot-on, and a further 8 got the outcome.

CHARLTON v PORTSMOUTH POSTPONED Due to a waterlogged pitch

HULL 1 SWINDON 0
Hull returned to the top of League 1 with this narrow win. Everyone predicted a win for Hull, with 3 getting it spot-on.

PLYMOUTH 2 ACCRINGTON 2
Plymouth had to come back twice, as they drew with in-form opponents. Nobody had this spot-on, but 4 did get the outcome.

PORT VALE 5 SOUTHEND 1
Vale thrash their non-league bound opponents. Nobody got this spot-on, though 24 did have the outcome.

On a day where only four teams managed to score more than two goals in the football leagues four divisions, we had two of them. But it was the games that had only one goal that make the headlines in the Happy League this week, with an incredible five games ending in a 1-0 home win. On seeing that I was thinking there will be members taking advantage of these results, and so they did, with two getting three each. They were sevebalo who had the 1-0 wins for Palace, Derby and Hull, and three outcomes to give him an excellent 12 points. And basher2010 who had the 1-0 wins for Palace, Derby and Wednesday, and four outcomes to give him a brilliant 13 points, and make him the weeks top scorer. It has been an amazing three weeks for him, after having four 3 pointers two weeks ago, and then following up by firing a blank last week. Those five 1-0's now make that the best result this season with 19, one ahead of the 0-1. There were four members who had two 3 pointers, the best of which was mfb_cufc who had the 1-0 wins for Palace and Derby, and four outcomes to give him a useful 10 points. A special mention for gerry_us. He had the Birmingham 1-1 spot-on and an impressive seven outcomes, to give him a very decent 10 points. The only result he didn't get was the Sheffield Wed v Preston one.
Week 22 will now be an 11 game one to make up for the Charlton v Portsmouth match being postponed this week.

In the Premier The excellent week for sevebalo means he has a decent 6 point lead now, after only having the advantage on the most 3 pointer rule last week, from Sector4, who had settle for having six outcomes. After a week away mfb_cufc moves back into the final Charity Shield spot. The brilliant week for basher2010 moves him up a couple of places, and more importantly moves him away from the relegation zone again. After missing last week Daniel hits back by having the 1-0 wins for Derby and Wednesday spot-on. The bottom three were all indebted to getting the Birmingham 1-1 spot-on, and by also having some decent outcomes as well, they give themselves every chance of avoiding the drop.

In Division One Another decent week for concordman, that included having the 1-0 wins for Palace and Wednesday spot-on, increases his lead to a very impressive 13 points. Six outcomes were enough to move blueeagle up a place, and into the other automatic spot for the first time this season. But only on the most 3 pointer rule from ghughes11, who had five outcomes. Although having the Derby 1-0 spot-on kept unitedwhites in fourth, he moved closer to the automatics. Having the Palace 1-0 spot-on helped durham_exile to remain fifth. Finally making it into a play-off spot is BFG, after being seventh on seven separate occasions this season. The other member to get two 3 pointers this week was gsy163, the Birmingham 1-1 and the Blackburn 1-0.

THE TABLES (169 out of 280 played)
(Tie-breaker: Most 3 pointers, and then the first to post)
