Happy League 2022/23 Week 4 (of 38) - Deadline Saturday 20th August 12.30 20:29 - Aug 13 with 2862 viewsmfb_cufc

Week 3 results

ARSENAL 4 LEICESTER CITY 2

Gabriel Jesus scored his first Premier League goals for Arsenal as they beat a Leicester team who scored with their only two shots on target. Nobody got this spot-on, but 26 did have the outcome, with 12 going for a 2-0, in what was the weeks most predicted score.

BLACKPOOL 0 SWANSEA CITY 1
Swansea claimed a first win of the season as Olivier Ntcham struck with a 87th minute winner. 4 had this spot-on, and a further 5 got the outcome.

HUDDERSFIELD TOWN 3 STOKE CITY 1
Danny Schofield earned his first win as Huddersfield boss at the fourth attempt as his side scored twice in the final 13 minutes to beat a Stoke side who missed a 21st minute penalty. Nobody got this spot-on, though 10 did have the outcome.

LINCOLN CITY 1 FOREST GREEN ROVERS 1
Connor Wickham's leveller helped Forest Green battle back from behind to rescue a point, to make it three out of three draws for Lincoln this season. 2 had this spot-on, and one more got the outcome.

BRADFORD CITY 2 NEWPORT COUNTY 0
Bradford City picked up their first league win of the season at the expense of 10-man Newport. A sublime 5 got this spot-on, and another 15 had the outcome.

SALFORD CITY 3 CREWE ALEXANDRA 0
A comfortable win for Salford as they end 10-man Crewe's 100% start to the season, who fail to have a shot on target. Sounds familiar. Another game with no 3 pointer, but 17 did get the outcome.

The home win has has had a great start to the season, with another 4 this week making it 11 out of 18 games for the season so far. The other 7 games have produced 4 draws and 3 aways. The 5 spot-ons from those 4 wins, takes the 3 pointer total for the home wins this season to 36, with the draw achieving 10 spot-ons for the season, and the Swansea 1-0 win today gave us the first 3 pointers for an away win this season. The 11 spot-ons this week were shared out, with 11 members getting one each. With thrillseeker being the only one to have four outcomes to go with the Lincoln 1-1 spot-on, he is the weeks top scorer, with a decent 7 points.

Midweek League Cup A reminder that the first fixtures for this competition are now ready for predicting. The deadline is Tuesday 16th August 19.45.

In the Premier Having the Bradford City 2-0 spot-on keeps wessex_exile top for the second week running. The top scoring performance for thrillseeker has moved him to within a point of the top. By getting the Swansea 1-0 spot-on, mfb_cufc moved up three places into third. The final Super Cup place is held by ghughes1, after he had the Bradford City 2-0 spot-on. Going 2-0 all games moved TheFatGooner up three places. A three place rise also for blueeagle, as he got the Lincoln 1-1 spot-on. Current champ concordman drops into the bottom three, but after being no higher than 8th for the first 21 weeks last season, he wont consider that a problem. Only RSCOSWORTH now without a 3 pointer in this division, but he moves up a place, after taking advantage of an unfortunate no show from Sector4, who drops to the bottom.

In Division One In the third week of the season you would normally expect a number of changed positions, as things start to settle down. But remarkably the top six remains the same as last week, but not in the same positions. The main change has GOSBTS taking over at the top, thanks to getting the Swansea 1-0 spot-on. Four outcomes for MrHappy2, as he has to settle for the other automatic spot, after leading for the first two weeks. Third place is still held by basher2010, as he was another to have the Bradford City 2-0 spot-on. After getting the Swansea 1-0 spot-on, sevebalo moves up a couple places to fourth. An impressive five outcomes for burnsieespana moves him up a place to fifth. Despite getting the Swansea 1-0 spot-on, oxfcolu drops to the final play-off place. Just missing out on the top six for the second week running is Pinault_Noir, as he is the final one this week to have the Bradford City 2-0 spot-on. Nobody else in this league got a 3 pointer, but an impressive five outcomes for Lewis_1 moved him up three places. Four outcomes each for Madeira163, BFG and Blue4U2 helped to improve their positions.

Early kick-off result

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR 1 WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS 0

Not surprisingly everyone predicted a win for Spurs, but it is well done to Pinault_Noir for being the only one to get it spot-on. Those 3 points move him into a play-off place. Just the 1 point for everyone else, that included 15 going for a 2-0 in what was the weeks most predicted score.

A tough day so far, with only ten 3 pointers. Though with Arsenal taking an early two goal lead, that looks like giving 27 members at least another point each.

With the AFC Bournemouth v Arsenal result to come, this is how the tables look after today's nine fixtures.
