We won’t get relegated, due to how cut off the bottom 3 are, it’s likely a lower total will be needed this year.
1 more win or even just a couple of draws and we will be pretty much safe.
However these buzz words need to cease from Martin. “Mentality” means nothing in the context he keeps using it, it’s far too broad and vague.
Russ likes to deflect.
Deflect away from culpability (always judge in the future, not now) and deflect away from justifying or explaining his methods, I think that is simply down to the fact he doesn’t really fully understand them himself.
If he came out and said why he does certain things then they are exposed to be absolutely ripped apart. But calling it “the process” or “the vision” has an air of mystique and people buy into it and attach their own meaning and thoughts to it “I can see what he’s trying to do” etc
The cold facts are there for everybody. He’s a guy that is very likeable in social situations, has good values but as a football manager he is coming up extremely short and has done for the last 4 years. He doesn’t want to learn and doesn’t want to move away from the security blanket of his methods, despite the fact it’s suffocating him.
I’ve stopped listening to his interviews. They can be predicted long before they are uttered. It’s usually just a subtle expectation dampening exercise or laying the framework to blame others should the result not go his way. |  |

If it’s nearly impossible to be relegated, all I can say is thank gawd, because I can’t see where another W is coming from, while this deluded clown is still in situ.
