In the last 10 years the 2 best GP's I've seen have been trainee's and the first one saved my life. If I'd carried on being fobbed off as I had been by the same experienced GP for 6 months I definitely wouldn't be here now. |

He has 34 felony convictions, he has bankrupted several businesses, he is a convicted sex pest, could you find a worse person to be POTUS? Maybe so but there are literally tens of millions of far better choices.
What he does next could have catastrophic outcomes for the world. We already ALL face higher prices. What Iran, as well as her Allies do next nobody yet knows, not to forget Russia.

Yes, we had to sedate one of ours last night because last year we really worried he'd have a heart attack he was so stressed. Then I woke up at 4am and looked at him, I thought he was dea! Scared the crap out of me.
The meds weren't cheap either, £285 all in (with a calming gel for the Pointer added in) and the worry that they won't wake up or maybe would have an allergic reaction or other side effects. |

And there you have it, the world according to Resloven, he'd make medicine unaffordable for a lot of people.
For example, a person on blood pressure meds could be taking 4 different tablets which comes in at nearly £40 every 4 weeks, my wife takes 7 different tablets for Epilepsy which is nearly £70. So you take all the free meds away and what is the outcome, how many cannot afford their tablets and end up in hospital?
The York Health economics consortium ( as well as other health charities and health economists ) have done research that suggests free prescriptions actually save the NHS money over all.
So Resloven, your idea that we could save over 600 million could, according to experts, actually cost us much more in long term costs.
Where the line should be drawn is in prescribing things that can be bought off the shelf at supermarkets, a box of parecetamol for example, it costs about 40p but a script costs the NHS over £5, that is the place savings can be made.
Now dentistry, you say it is not selfish because YOU pay. If you can afford it then well done but there are very many people who cannot afford private dentistry. Again, if they don't get treatment the knock on effects to health would cost the NHS a vast amount of money.
You believe people should pay more because YOU can afford to, that is the nonsense. You would push healthcare back to pre NHS days where if you can't pay you won't get treatment. Very patriotic to condemn more Welsh people to ill health while at the same time costing the NHS more money.
The NHS in England maybe has better services because of better management, here in Wales we have maybe had worse services because of poor governance.
You would have people pay out a lot more at a time of a cost of living crisis, that is extremely selfish. You have no empathy, you relate every post to your own circumstances and show no care nor understanding for anybody else's situation.
Finally, I haven't said to anybody else not to engage with you, even if I did it wouldn't be as low ball as what you suggest which is to put health care beyone the means of very many Welsh residents. Again, that is selfish. |

There have been posters on here singing Trumps praises for ages, I think they're a bunch of...nah, I won't say those words because they won't be allowed!
Trump is a danger to the world, he has encouraged Putin, he has driven prices up with his stupid attacks on Iran, he has destabilised everywhere with his stupidity.
Even the Americans can see this which is why he's taken a midterm hiding. There is more to it than just the wars obvioulsy. Tech stocks have taken a hiding too apparently, data centres are causing concern everywhere, AI is always in the news. |

It was definitely quieter around by us. The last few years it has been more akin to a war zone with the whole house seeming to shake under the blast of VERY loud fireworks. This year it wasn't just quieter, it seemed there were fewer going off. |

I only ever wanted to play reserve football so I could make the Swans, I also played on Sundays from 17 until 40. I was 41 when our son was born and now we are both season tickey holders but he doesn't want to play on Saturdays.he'd rather watch and play 7-a-side.
It puzzles me, I always wanted to play even if going to the Vetch was the more important, I fitted both in but he can't be bothered with both. |

For 10 years, roughly 80-90, I onlyu missed one home game , I was too ill. It was Spurs and we won 2-1. Back then it was ALL about football but I'm in a similar place to you. The only reason I go to every home game and several away games is because my son wants to so we go together. This weekend we're off to watch Roma v Sassuolo.
I don't love football like I used to, there are far more important things. What I want to do more of, is travel.
All that said, yes it was better back then, probably because I was young and had few responsibiities beyond having fun. Meeting mates in the pub from age 16, waiting in the pub for the sporting post man, getting drunk then a taxi home but stopping off at our local for "one more". They were good times. The football was our world back then. An evening game under the lights did have a special atmosphere. |

Yep, I'm a quiet quitter. Or as I have called it, doing the bare minimum. Partly because of the reasons above and partly because I'm nearly 60 and a bit knackered. It helps that I took an easy job mind.
Our governments have, for decades, been ruining this country. They've all been looking after themselves and their friends and there is very little left that us ordinary people are willing to give. So if productivity drops, profits drop, GDP drops the government can blame themselves and take a 2 finger salute. |

percentages always seem to come off against us!
It wasn't luck, we were rubbish for most of that game. Our defence gifted them 2 goals, our keeper had a poor night but then I'd ask (just like at QPR) who had a good night?
Too many players are underperforming, specially away. You've got to wonder why? How can we so good against Blackburn then 4 days later play like a bunch of strangers. |

Parity with England wouldn't mean an end to free scripts, 89% of Englsih scripts are free because of exemptions so parity with England would save about 80 million, maybe you should check your facts?
Removing dentistry is a shockingly bad idea and reeks of selfishness.
You call yourself a patriot yet want to introduce measures that would make life harder for most Welsh people. If all dentistry were private then a lot of Welsh people would suffer.
When you say " debate enthusiastically" there would be several people who disagree, they would say you spout nonsense with facts that aren't really facts (like the 624 million saving) and when people do disagree with you, you accuse them of being in a clique or a group and picking on you. Maybe you should consider that a debate needs other peoples opinions? |

I think we'll just miss out. We have more depth but we are a bit shy of the quality in depth. For example, we aren't great at right back and up front our strikers aren't really delivering. Maybe that is because of a lack of service but that begs questions of our midfield.
I suppose you could lay it at Matos door though? I don't 433 is the right formation for us. I feel 4231 would be better but I was that good I'd be in the dugout! |

Very poor that half. Widdell isn't a left winger. Too many of them are poor again but it's not as bad as QPR because we aren't 3 down and lucky it's not 5 or 6! They aren't that much better than us and we gifted a goal again. I thought Vigoroux could have done better as well, he didn't hit it very well. Maybe I'm being harsh there!
We are picking up a lot of injuries too, why? Are we working too hard in training? We have several missing tonight, Eom, Eustaquio, Yeo and now Welsh who was a concern as well recently, it's an issue. As is tymons drop in form.
Eustaquio is a big miss for me because Stamenic started off well here but recently he's been right off the pace. Opoku doesn't have the same energy either. |

Tony Blair opened up the flood gates. It was an attempt at social engineering to guarantee Labour stayed in. We have seen Welsh Labour and Plaid have a go at that by changingbour electoral system without a referendum, they reckon Reform or the Tories could never win a majority in this D'Hondt system, it's blatant gerrymandering, both Labour and Plaid should be ashamed but our politicians are largely devoid of shame, and guilt, empathy...knowledge or experience of the real world.
As for Mahmood, I think Labour will be out sooner than they expect, the way things are going. Maybe they'll collpase and a GE will happen, maybe there'll be riots, maybe even a larger war in Europe. I think it's obvious though that things are happening that are taking the world to a darker place again, maybe I shoild dig my garden over ready for a veg patch! |

And I disagree, if you are in full time work you should be able to survive, poverty wages just cause a bigger dependency on welfare.
I think we need to do 3 things,
1, have 2 minimum wage bands, one for small businesses and a higher wage for corporations who make billions in profit.
2, if 1 happens then we can cut welfare because maybe it will cut the number of people on universal credit.
3, increase training and apprenticeships. We have a skill shortage.
One thing, Doc, when you say why hire young people with no experience, it has been that attitude that has helped along the skills shortage and made a lot of people unemployable. If you have no experience you can't get a job, if you can't get a job how do you get experience? A lot of jobs that used to be done by young people have vanished, we got jobs in pubs and cafes for example. There's not many pubs around now. Raising the personal allowance won't help people who can't get a job or won't take a job because the pay is less than they can live on and then where are they, on benefits.
Small businesses need help but the corporations, they need controlling, they have too much power and are causing social, environmental and political problems. |
