Not overly convincing but badly needed for a confidence boost, would've been very disappointing not to get anything from a fixture against a team who are more than likely going to be amongst the bottom dwellers.

No real standout performers but thought Uchegbulam did well when he came on.

Good performance, had most.of the possession and 1-0 flattered them. New side and the players are still adjusting to team and tactics Signsthough that we might just become a well organised side hard to beat this season. Only two games but impressed by Dale so far.

Good to get a clean sheet and I am not too worried defensively.

We are light on goals and the result today should have been about three nil.

Best start to a season for a while.
Just think we will be hard to beat this year. I’d be happy with a dozen 1-0 wins this year. I know there are plenty of followers that will be aghast at that thought, but we are about consolidation at the at the moment. Once we have established a proper foothold in this division there will be time to try playing it forward at a million miles an hour to shake of the pedestrian mantle.

If we can back today's result up with another win on Tuesday, that would instil a lot more confidence in both the team and the fans than just a single, scrappy (but nevertheless welcome) win

Poll: What are you planning to do v Newport

Clayton was outstanding. Controlled the game, and at the heart of everything. We had 2 cleared off the line and one chalked off. Moulden won't have a quieter game all season.

Now we need to convert possession into goals. The signs are quite encouraging only 2 games in.

Thought Clayton was poor first half, gave the ball away far too much and looked uncomfortable on the surface but miles better second half when we were able to push forward more.

If I hadn't seen such riches, I could live with being poor

Took us until our 10th league game to find a win last season, to get it in our second outing this season will be a massive mental boost for the squad and staff.

I think this season, we'll have to be extremely patient and accept that we're going to have to play it about a lot before working our way through these teams with 10 men behind the ball.

Saturday wasn't the prettiest game of football we'll see but we got the win. We found a way to win. That's what is important. We're going to see a lot of that I think.

Poll: What should happen with the 'Bowlee fund' money?
