Currently we have a frosty start to the day (Thursday) and very fine flakes of snow are falling here in Durham.

The next 24 hours are supposed to be similar conditions before a change to rain on Friday.

A decision on the Harrogate game likely to be made on Friday.

About 0.5inch of snow today.

Hopefully tomorrow will be wet and milder.

Saturday should therefore be ok for our game at Harrogate.

Think you might be right Durham- my weather app says that the snow is going to turn to light rain overnight, with rain persisting and temperatures rising all through Friday. Harrogate Town don't appear to have a forum these days, the only one I could find seems to have died a death back in 2019 or so. However, there's nothing on their official website or Facebook page to suggest the game might be in jeopardy, so fingers crossed it's going to be on. Still going to be a tough game though, up against the form side of the division, but in Danny and Nicky we trust.

Wessex one of my shorter journeys on Saturday.

Have persuaded both sons to go to see DC's blue and white Army.

The only threat would be a waterlogged pitch if the rain is torrential on Friday.

I agree that it will be a stern test but the team is getting stronger as DC decides on his best 18.

I'm travelling up today, so will be able to report from the scene this evening.

Hopefully no news is good news.

Safe journey.

Weather is worse the further north you go.

A66 closed and snow gates closed across from Bowes to Brough.

No snow in Richmond North Yorkshire just very wet.

The only risk as I said earlier is potential waterlogging.

The team will want to know this afternoon though because they will travel up and stay over.

Pitch at the JCS is currently covered. Seems a little unnecessary but guessing they want to ensure that Tuesday's game definitely goes ahead.

I've arrived in Harrogate. Most of the snow has washed away but it's very wet here. Passed the ground and it DOESN'T have a pitch cover on it. Apparently it has good drainage.
