No final day wànkathon for Sky this season. on 18:08 - May 11 with 3551 views | Ned_Kennedys | Premier League will be delighted: they managed to show how tough they were with their FFP ‘punishments, and the bigger teams still stayed up. Forest and Everton must be laughing and planning to overspend again: no reason not to. Perhaps as well as points deductions they should add transfer window bans for the following summer, and also make it clear that any future breaches will lead to an immediate points deduction twice the size of their previous punishment. Luton and Sheffield United didn’t spend Premier League sized transfer money so we’re almost guaranteed to go down: Burnley did spend big so have badly underperformed I think. Trying to big it up as best league in the world . Klopp and Gaurdiola complaining about player burn out . It’s so predictable and boring now.

I used to like Klopp in his early years at Liverpool but a lot of the comments he comes out with now are just ridiculous

No final day wànkathon for Sky this season. on 12:11 - May 12 with 2537 views | LimehouseR | What would be ideal now would be if Arsenal fail to win today and Man City beat Tottenham midweek. Then the season is completely sown up. All they will have to get excited about is the battle for the Europa and Conference league positions. It looks like 29 points is enough to stay up this year. That is ridiculous. Brentford would be bang in trouble most other seasons but even with less than 40 points and one game to go they've pretty much been safe all year. Also to add, majority of West Ham fans have got their wish and Moyes is out. Probably their most successful manager in a generation but not good enough. I'd love for them to go down next year much like Charlton did when they got rid of Curbishley but they won't. They'll have at least 2 out of the 3 promoted teams struggling below them next year as well.

As you say Brentford would have been in the relegation mix most seasons had the promoted teams been of better quality.Has been the worse season for many years due to an unprecedented long list of long term injuries losing whole back 4 and both wide players for most of the season along with Toney for half the season.Finishing on 39 points ( could get 40 or 42 ) would have kept Brentford up over the last 20 years.Been a very unexciting season in the PL that at times bores the arse off you it’s sooo predictable and it’s most fans dream untill they get there.Give me the championship all day long

Fair play to you mate. I think this eventually happens with most clubs of our size/resources. A season or 2 of excitement in a new league and then it seems to be survival and making do. I'd prefer Brentford to do well rather than the perennial boring yoyo clubs like West Brom. You have at least had some big results and caused some established teams some problems in your last few seasons. Our club could and should learn a lot from yours but like you say how far does it go once you're in the top division these days? At what point does finishing between 12 and 17th become boring? Ask Palace fans, they seem to want wholesale change but again, look what happened to Charlton... I think you've done reasonably well this year like you say with injuries and minus a genuine goal scorer.

With the premier league clubs getting more and more money and the championship sides getting deeper in debt think this seasons outcome will become a regular occurrence.I will keep my season ticket but doubt if I do anywhere near as many away games next season I’ve only missed 4 in 3 seasons. If we git relegated I would do them all in the championship.Im what’s called a legacy fan I understand that is the new tag for us been around too long don’t spend enough in the club shop and are a hangover from the past 😃
