Week 33 results

BURNLEY 0 AFC BOURNEMOUTH 0

Bournemouth lost further ground in the race for European football as they were held to a fourth consecutive Premier League draw by relegation-threatened Burnley, who have now only won once in their last 21 league games. Nobody got this spot-on, but 3 did have the outcome. 17 predicted a win for Bournemouth, with 11 going for a 2-1 in what was the weeks most predicted score.

SUNDERLAND 0 BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION 1
Yankuba Minteh scored the only goal of the game in bizarre fashion as Brighton condemned Sunderland to a third straight home defeat. A sublime 5 had this spot-on, and one more got the outcome.

STOKE CITY 3 WATFORD 1
Million Manhoef's brace helped Stoke return to winning ways with this comfortable victory. Agan nobody got this spot-on, though 13 did have the outcome.

WEST BROMWICH ALBION 3 HULL CITY 0
West Brom took advantage of Hull going down to 10-men to claim their first win since 29th December and move out of the Championship relegation zone. Again no 3 pointer for anyone, but 5 did get the outcome (all going 2-1). 17 predicted a win for Hull.

NORTHAMPTON TOWN 0 BURTON ALBION 2
Northampton started life after Kevin Nolan with another defeat as their plunge towards League Two continued with this loss. Another game with no 3 pointer, though 4 did have the outcome.

WIGAN ATHLETIC 2 BRADFORD CITY 0
Caylan Vickers and ex-U's loanee Joe Taylor scored the goals as Wigan beat Bradford – a result which has massive ramifications at both ends of League One. A final game this week with no 3 pointer, but 4 did get the outcome. 18 predicted a win for Bradford.

We have had a number of poor weeks this season, and this was another one to add to the list. Even though there was only the one 3 pointer, the 30 outcomes made sure it was only the second worst week of the season so far. Best of the five who got the Brighton 1-0 spot-on, was Sector4, who was the only one to also have three outcomes, to make him the weeks top scorer, with a decent 6 points.

U'sual Champions League Just a reminder for those who have yet to post their predictions for the Rof16 2nd leg fixtures. The deadline is Tuesday 17th March at 17.45.

In the Premier On such a low scoring week positions remain unchanged. With concordman only getting the Burton outcome, this allowed his nearest pursuers to close the gap, as Jorash63 had the Brighton 1-0 spot-on, and the Burton outcome, to reduce the deficit to 13 points. With the top scoring performance from Sector4 taking him to just a point further back, and at the same time creating a 10 point gap back to the fourth RSCOSWORTH, who was one of four to fire a blank in this division. More serious blanks came from unitedwhites and Daniel, as they try to avoid the drop, but they only fell one further point back from safety.

In Division One Having the Brighton 1-0 spot-on, and the Stoke outcome, keeps noah4x4 on course to reach the magic 200 points. Three outcomes for durham_exile keeps him in the other automatic spot. Just the West Brom outcome for Tropical_Us, but he remains third. By both getting the Brighton 1-0 spot-on, BFG and Blue4U2 both moved up a place to fourth and fifth. That means basher2010 drops two to take the final play-off place. The only other change has oxfcolu moving up a couple of places, after he had three outcomes.

THE TABLES (238 out of 280 played)
(Tie-breaker: Most 3 pointers, and then the first to post)
