Have you seen him play? He got away with alot of it in championship because of the level of opposition. Needs to realise he's its a team game and in the prem running the ball down blind alleys will be punished.
Plenty of times mate...probably more than you I would imagine. Bet you are a Mackie or Derry fan? Love a workhorse? Not appreciative of a skilful player? Since Sparky has come in his workrate last season was excellent. Kept Walker quiet against Spurs ffs which is not easy to do!
If your having a dig at him because of his performance against Swansea maybe have a look at the rest of the team before singling one person out.
People who are saying that Adel is the main reason we are at this level. No doubt it's true, but it is a completely different level we are at now. We are not a top 4 team who can afford to have Adel loose the ball on countless occasions, or not play someone thorugh on goal, purely because he wants to nutmeg someone first.
Taarabt is no longer the best player at this club, no where near. People need to remove their heads from his ar*e

Hmmm...interesting. Brought up on WATRB the other day that Taarabt has a higher pass completion than Faurlin last season. And supposedly Faurlin is the best passer at the club? And you say Adel loses the ball countless times?
I wish I stayed out of Taarabt threads, it's just the same old argument with the same old people. If they can't see that Adel has increased his workrate and team ethic under Hughes then they've been watching a different team.
And no one is saying that he is our best player, or that this league is the same as the Championship.

why do people say he is the most frustrating player. Because he is too greedy.

Wasn't having a dig mate, and you probably have im not a season ticket holder, just get the games when i can. Ofcourse i like derry/mackie and the workhorse ethic. But they will never have the skill of adel/faulin, i actually enjoy skillfull players more, its the nature of the beast, tricks and clever passes are more enjoyable to watch than players who track every lost ball (even though its just as important in any team). I'm frustrated with adel because he has the potential to be so much more than he is, and showed that at times last season. Asfar as the swansea game, lets just draw a line under it and except it was a bad day at the office for everyone involved and move on.
Anyone got a nice job-lot of second-hand chairs to sell a fellow LoftForWorder on the cheap?
And what do women know about footie anyway? (There were at least two informed, intelligent amusing female contributors to these boards who seem to have done the off recently.I wonder why.)
Anyone ever seen Confirmed Blind Died-In-The-Wool Knee-Jerk AntiTaarabtist's SoG and Gazza1 in the same room together?
hmmmmm....

More like 20StoneOfHoop now.
Let's face it I'm not getting any thinner.
Pass the cake and pies please.
Hughes has probably told him to release the ball earlier a million times and to track back and do more defensive work but he won't listen, just like he wouldn't listen to Redknapp when he was at Spurs. Looks like a short sharp shock treatment from Hughes.
I've had my Dragons Den moment - I'm out. You lot wouldn't be happy with Adel if he scored 40 goals a season, bought you a rolex and drove you to every away game until the end of time immemorial.

Greedy...am sure it said attempted more passes than Faurlin as well. Will have to check that. My goodness me. It really is sad when a player who isn't even in the squad today still gets shot down in flames but some of our "fans" Pathetic even.
Sparky, rightly or wrongly, left Adel out of the squad today for whatever reason. He would have been no worse than SWP and we would have created a bit more and there would have been a bit more creativity and spark no doubt.

No worries pal...I think Adel this season will show what a fantastic player he is. Its frustrating that Sparky hasn't picked him in the last 3 games but obviously rates him with a 4 year deal and the 10 shirt.
His workrate certainly improved under Hughes last season no question. Against Walker, Sagna etc he was superb at tracking those guys. As you rightly say he was no more to blame than anyone else against Swansea.

Probably? Or this is probably more made up bo-llocks from you. Thats my guess anyway.
Hows John Ruddy? You must be happy he got picked for England the other day. Must be gutted Lambert left for Villa?
In the championship yes but that doesn't count because we are now in the Premier league. I was at the Swansea game and he just hogged the ball when there were players available.
The days of the maverick are long gone. Today you are required to have technique and a strong work ethic.
Adel has not made the step up that everyone expected. If he thinks that he can dribble past 4 players and score he is mistaken, the opposition in this league are sharper and too canny for that. He needs to adopt a team game if he wants to do well. I now understand why his career nose dived at Spurs.
Not made the step-up? comparing him with the player he is now to the player he was when he left Spurs??
Your dislike of Adel is so irrational its actually clouding reality.Dont get me wrong,i have had players that have just wound me up too,and was never quite sure why....Gavin Peacock,Steve Palmer to name a couple.
The Swansea game was all about the whole team not pressing them high up the pitch, not working in 2's and 3's to close down space...then it was our inability to retain possesion when we did have it.Imo,Park was more to blame than Adel for losing possesion. There just is no way he is a CM.Thought we grew into the gane today, and find the prospect of Genario,Samba,Faurlin and maybe even Dyer all competing for the CM places exciting.
Adel is a diff player to when we were in championship,if anything against Swansea, thought he tried too hard to do too much, not in a selfish way,but in trying to make something happen. He remains one of the most naturally gifted players i have ever seen, who wants to entertain. That IS what i pay my money for,and im hoping that Hughes will continue to manage him the way he has done.Actually agree with him not starting today, especially playing with BZ and AJ up front. If we had only held on for 10 min after we had scored who knows.

He is too greedy, he needs to stop being stubborn and change. If he passes to his team mates and tracks back more often, he will become a complete player. He is a very talented player but that counts for nothing without discipline.
Even Ronaldo listened to Ferguson and cut out the tricks and selfish nonsense and now he is a much better player for it.

A huge assumption on your part disguised as fact. You talk out of your arse , so much you remind me of this fella.
Adel is a luxury no team can afford when you are at the base of the league. Hughes likes all his players to put in a good defensive shift when we do not have possession. I concede that Adel has improved greatly in this respect but he is still a defensive liability. He needs a team built around him. The introduction of Granero and Hoillet indicates to me that Adel will be a bit part player at best.
I think we have to back Hughes judgement for now but Adel is a big favourite and if results dont go right and he is continously left out LR will turn on Hughes.
