I do not know any more in these strange, strange times Wombat. I get that the 'coach' says he is short in 'x' areas and a list of names comes up. I would then expect 'whoever' within the playng side to discuss/agree who to try and get into the void areas. The CEO (or whoever) will then start negotiations with the player(s).
But, hey, I do not know any more!!!!
One thing I cannot see happens, (but maybe it does in these strange, strange times) is that the coach has no input into signing players & it is all done by the CEO. |

I do not know but I would expect that the Manager has a big input into any players that sign - along with others like Nourry & coaches. As for the coaches who join, I cannot see it being one person just offering contracts etc, etc.
I do not know if its a conspiracy tbh but some of the things I hear, not on this MB, concerns me. |

1JD is basically saying that if an amater can do all what he did or does then a 22 year old pro should be able to cope with play 3 games every other week or two games in 7 or 8 days or 30 games in 7/8 months......which, incidentally, I concur with. |

How do you know all these things about the playing side of affairs, telling players they will not be playing, etc, etc - sounds pretty farcicle to me......what does the so called Manager do for his job?? |

I do not know, how do you know?? Maybe he did, I am not as informed as you.
What I do know that many of the players selected are not 'playing their part'. |

I understand that Nourry is a issue, I have been educated by a well informed individual but 'come on'.......this is not 'all down' to the much alligned Nourry. The players, coaches and Manager needs to look at themselves. |

He is a lucky man to be getting so much game time.
His technical ability is well below that of a professional fotballer. He fails to control good paced balls fired into his feet and therefore back to ball comes towards our goal. Control of te ball is a general issue!!!
He is very limited with his heading ability.
His short passing is very average indeed.
He takes the wrong option frequently.
His misses have been unbelieveable and there are penty of examples out there.
Is he better than one of the worst CF's I have seen recently, namely Dykes, probably just got the edge because of his workrate & attitude towards the game.
He is pretty slow around the park, no pace.
His goals/game ratio is not good at all.
Anyone who has a differing opinion doesnt understand what a CF should be doing.
Saying all the above I like his attitude and application, he is the best we have got who is available. I would pick him above the even more limited Kolli all day!! |

Spot on......regarding those 5 players Burnley, They are the reason we are not competing. They get the a decent ball passed to them and they fail to control the ball and give it away and B'ham are in our faces again.
There will be early/HT changes in a hope it improves.....sadly the bench is not any better but may improve the performance. [Post edited 11 Mar 20:46]

No it isn't Norf......but stop passing the buck to support staff or whoever. You are a goalkeeper and an experienced one although old but he should know the rules of his job ffs. I knew what to do when I took throw ins, I knew my personal job..........the keeper should know his job and not need support staff to tell him. Next think the players will not know how to tie their boot laces up and want support staff or apprentices to do it. It's rubbish mate, take a bit of responsibility!!!! |
