Relegation battle and Ki ? 19:04 - Dec 28 with 4179 views | Swanfan1 | Can we get Ki back even if it cost us something, that would finally be the nail in the coffin for Sunderland we should not be helping out a team that could be our rival if we go into relegation battle.

Thanks well yea that be it then should still speak to the player about coming back we could really use him, and our players are not performing De Guzman should either play attacking midfielder out wide or bench I dont wanna see him play that central role.

Relegation battle and Ki ? on 21:36 - Dec 28 with 2713 views | QuakerJack | Remember Dobbie to Blackpool. He's our player and as far as I'm aware we can recall him in january as the window is open so rather than helping another team to the detriment of ourselves let's get him back.

That would depend on; 1) If we included a 'recall' option in the loan 2) Ki appologises to Laudrup

If there is a recall option, number 2 should be irrelevant

It was a ridiculous decision in the first place. It's different if Chelsea or City lend us a player, he can't play against them, we're no threat and the worst that can happen is he does nothing, best case scenario he scores to beat their rivals. Would City lend United a player? If there wasn't a clause to bring him back then it's even worse, surely Huw learnt something from the dobbie fcuk up.

Despite the incredible job our board have done to get us to where we are today, there's no denying they still have been guilty of more than a couple of mistakes on the way, and continue to make them to this day.

The board were in a tricky situation with Ki/Laudrup in the summer. They're praised for letting managers manage and for giving Laudrup the freedom to develop his own squad, but they also see the bigger picture and don't want to get rid of a player just because a manager - who will not commit beyond the end of this season - doesn't rate him as much as they do. They're balancing the short-term against the idea of continuity. In a crude summary, the board want Ki to play for us, and Laudrup doesn't. but Laudrup may be gone in a few months. That's why Ki is on loan and not sold.

Relegation battle and Ki ? on 22:19 - Dec 28 with 2514 views | AtleticoAbertawe | As for recalling Ki, I think it depends if there a was loan fee involved, if Sunderland payed us a loan fee then I don't think we will be able to recall him.

I only saw the last 10 minutes of the match, but in that 10 minutes, Ki did more than I've seen de Guzman do in any 90 minutes this season. If he could play at that level for is in that more forward position, then I'd take him back as soon as possible. However, Laudrup doesn't seem to see it like that and out would only make sense to bring him back if we were going to play him regularly.

Fair, although Ki didn't exactly do much to force himself into Laudrup's plans last season.

Relegation battle and Ki ? on 09:46 - Dec 29 with 2017 views | perchrockjack | Ki started off fine with us but then went stale and listless. He s clearly got it back which benefits Sunderland. Quite why with a small squad we loan this guy for the whole season when we have so many fixtures is a pitiful decision.

No but he wouldn't be helping out a team with whom we may end up in a relegation scrap with

Relegation battle and Ki ? on 11:27 - Dec 29 with 1927 views | Clinton | Poyet used Ki as a DM initially when Cattermole was on one of his periodic bans. They all loved him in the DM role. Then they played him in AM role and he has been even better, making chances and scoring. He's Poyets favourite I think. He looks happier there than he ever did here. There is a break clause, but I believe Sunderland will put in a bid. The thing is he's doing so well other clubs may come in too. What if Everton or Chelsea liked the look of him after his performances against them. Maybe the best scenario is a bidding war similar to what happened with DG10 last season, I reckon we can get 8 or 9 million for him in his current form.
