There is no defending Gerry after his catalogue of recent errors which have undoubtedly cost us many points. You could argue that a couple were difficult to save, but they were still savable and keepers of Vorms quality would have kept them out in my opinion.

Last year I would have said there wasn't much difference between Vorm and Tremmell, but Tremmel has been poor this year,especially with crosses,where he was excellent last year.He is costing us a lot of goals at the moment. | |

Yes that's absolutely what I'm saying, how Gerry came to the club has nothing to do with his current ability.
I'm sure there would be stats to back me up but I don't know where to find them. Vorm is more than capable of letting soft shots in, should've got to Hooper's goal at Norwich for example. People are quick to jump on Tremmel's back. I think it's mostly because a lot of football fans are miserable idiots who don't deserve to follow the sport. | | | |

Spot on. Tremmel is usually a solid backup and maybe even a bit "safer" than Vorm but he just doesn't have a special game changing save capability that Vorm has. |  |

Tremmel had a great season last year but he hasn't got to a good few of them this season.
Ash looked like he thought Tremmel should have saved the 3rd one today......
He has cost us a couple in the Europa (pen against the Russian team) + Valencia at home.
Concensus is he should have got to the barkley effort (I'm not so sure).
