Okay then, here's an idea for predicting the 2014 World Cup which has to be done all in one hit before it kicks off, but any other suggestions gratefully received. These are in what I perceive to be points scored order, but haven't yet thought about how many points for each. Though I call it a sweepstake, monies/prizes will not change hands, just a bit of fun...

Other 2 semi-finalists (points for each)
Home before their postcards (worst team)
Group winners (points for each)
Hard luck England (the round we go out in)
Tie-break will be closest to the minute of the first goal in the final

Thanks Durham - if it's anything like my previous trip as an honorary Spireite to see them in the JPT final two seasons ago, I'll struggle to remember it...
That being said, it'll actually be my third trip to new Wembley, as I was invited by a corporate sponsor to accompany them (amongst quite a few others) to their executive box for the recent Denmark friendly - dull dull game, but the hospitality was top notch!
Play-offs though, not THAT would be an occasion to cherish :-) | |
