Brandon Comley on 20:52 - Jul 21 with 1445 views | durham_exile | Bolton are assembling a strong team but where has the money come from. And this signing just incenses me more we have lost five quality players including Theo and we will miss each and every one of them. I wonder if JM left because he saw a lack of ambition from the Chairman. Up the Managerless U's [Post edited 21 Jul 2020 21:12]

Not sharing the chairman’s vision of the future probably sealed McGreal’s departure.

Now waiting for Cowling to announce that no better candidates applied/were interviewed so let's have yet another internal inexperienced appointment.

Bolton obviously intend an immediate return like the last time - was it 86-87? They began slowly and we beat them at LR but then they asserted themselves. Comley will do well there especially in lg 1. A bit like Mandron and Hanlan at Gillingham. But our ex manager never used Comley enough,he was often dropped after a good performance. But if he was a high earner then I guess RC felt he had to go. Bolton's gain. Only time will tell if our policy will succeed, not convinced our academy's got the experience and nous needed to escape this division though. Not even sure what Mr Humes does actually.

Humes still runs the football club as Director of Football. Waddington runs the recreational centre. Incumbant Team Manager/Coach disagrees with Humes - leaves, or is sacked. Cowling employs Humes. Cowling can't see where the problems lie. If you Google Colchester United Managers you get this list; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Colchester_United_F.C._managers I don't think it is remotely odd that the last "Manager" listed is Humes! I wonder why Matt Hudson never updated it (and left himself)?

Pretty flimsy as a conspiracy theory Noah, but fun to read nonetheless. As it happens, Colchester United has one of the most complete records on Wikipedia of virtually any club side in Europe, but I don't think Matt was responsible for much/ any of it. You can view who edits pages, and there is a username who crops up time and time again throughout, but it isn't Matt.

No more flimsy than the Russian conspiracy report that criticises Government but offers not one shred of evidence of any smoking gun. At least I identify a culpable individual, we can see the adverse results of his interference and an audit trail that ends with his name. Humes Out!

Don't know why the Government were so secretive and or worried over this report. Just given the media lots to feed on. Dislike most of this Government's actions and this is another crazy delay but suppose it is all about "power".
