EFL D2 - Team of Season on 17:34 - Apr 30 with 780 views | durham_exile | bwildered It's all a question of perspective. Wiredu would surely have merited inclusion if he had played a season worth of games. There's always next season. Up the U's

Would have been a tad incongruous too, if the EFL D2 Team of the Season included players from teams who struggled to avoid relegation. However, if it keeps those we want to retain out of the shop window, I'm fine with that.

EFL D2 - Team of Season on 18:25 - Apr 30 with 771 views | mfb_cufc | Goes to show what a poor standard League 2 has been this season when a 38 year-old (39 in three weeks time) gets into the midfield. Are you sure Chris Hussey is down as a striker, because he is a defender. Eoin Doyle or James Vaughan should be the other striker instead of him. Out of that rubbish team, I would say there is only Matt Jay and possibly the goalkeeper who would be attracting the attention of higher league clubs.

To be fair Hoolahan is a class act and he's played at a much higher level for pretty much his whole career. His quality was always going to shine through as long as his legs allowed him too. You often see it when players who have had good careers drop down the divisions they stand out due to their pure ability. They're not in the lower divisions of the football league because they're not good footballers but because they're older and not quite as quick as they used to be. Vaughan will be 33 soon so he's no youngster either and Doyle is already 33.
