My wife and I had decided that as we couldn't get to Italy and Switzerland on holiday last (and this) year we'd follow the U's away for a season. I saw the draw and started looking at Carlisle hotels - but will away fans be allowed in by 7th August ? |  | | |

Providing the lockdown easing continues on 19 July, there is no reason why Away supporters should be denied access to Football grounds or other sporting venues.
Witham, I wish you and your Wife well with your travels to support the U's this season.
Carlisle would offer a great weekend in the Lake Dsitrict, what's not to like?

I like Carlisle itself as well, loved staying in that area for quite a few months many years ago. However, even if stadium are going to open for limited attendance, I reckon we're still going to be some way off the possibility of supporters travelling across the country to away matches (sadly). |  |

If the delightful Ms Sturgeon sanctioned 20,000 Scots to travel from Glasgow and Edinburgh to Euston and Kings Cross and onto Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus and Wembley, I reckon 400 Colchester supporters can travel to Cumbria.
Let us hope that there is an outbreak of common sense post 19 July.

Will miss the first few U’s games due to cricket commitments. Hence, I am grateful that most early season Saturday fixtures are away, so I am not losing matches on my season pass. Will watch all next day on I-Follow. The nearby rugby club at Carlisle has decent real ales and is always welcoming to U’s fans. |  | | |
