After 25 games 33 points - are we seriously going to secure another 50 points from 21 games to finish on 83 which will be necessary to finish in the top six this year. Put simply another 17 victories at the very least plus no more than 4 defeats.
Thought not - period of consolidation - JW might as well play the youngsters now in readiness for a promotion push next season.

Far too many points dropped at home
Season record 8 wins 9 draws 8 defeats tells a sorry story only 35 goals scored and 39 conceded.
Very disappointing result today (again) - and JW is ok with it, even more annoying.

They are scoring goals for fun we are losing 1-0 and drawing 1-1, simply not good eneough.
Chesterfield next week, the crowd will be less than 3,000 and are we going to be content with another home draw or worse, a defeat.

Dissapointing that we didn't win given these statistics , but yet again, a goalkeeper was probably MoM (Slocombe) who made some brilliant saves, especially in first half, alongside the odd gaff. He was laughing all over his face at the chants of "dodgy keeper".
The "dodgy" one was at other end. Admittedly there was a deflection, but Williams positioning was awful for their goal. Had he stayed on his line an easy save, but he rushed out and got caught out. Yet, at other times he didn't move and left John White sweeping up. Distribution was much better that at MKD, but I have lost confidence in him. Time to sell, and bring back Mark Cousins.
I thought a good solid and entertaining performance by U's - Luck just didnt go our way.
Will settle for mid table - would be nice to play BOTH Ipswich and Southend next year!

Should really have had the game buried by half-time when we were the much better side but, as usual, failed to make the most of the chances (and as Noah said, there were plenty of them) created. Failed to clear our own lines for their goial and then got a fortunate penalty, definitely a foul but a challenge that the defender didn't need to make. Simply didn't do enough in the second half. Thought Bond and James were poor but Gilly played reasonably well.
Big plus for me from this game - thought Tom Eastman was excellent, apart from a bit of a slip up near the end, did pretty much everything expected of him. Early days yet but certainly plenty of promise there. |  | | |

Problem is missed chances and only one goal is never going to be enough to see off teams like Scunny who are struggling.
Weston Homes which was a fortress is now open season for away teams. We made the pitch smaller, perhaps widening the touchlines to create more width is the answer or part of it, we also need someone to score 20 goals a season!!!!!
