Have evidently sacked Sturrock though he stays on until the JPT final.......bit odd considering the season they have had and lack of money. Read somewhere that more than half of the 72 football league clubs have changed manager this season and some more than once! Crazy!
It was my understanding that Phil Brown takes over today, but that Sturrock will still lead the team he guided to the final out at Wembley. Still odd though
Sturrocks departure takes the tally to 34 sackings and 14 resignations since the season started. With 4 managers dimissed in the PL that means well over half the football league clubs have changed managers...although Blackburn and Forest having been doing more than their fair share of hiring and firing!
Were I a Sarfend fan I don't think I'd be very excited at the prospect of Phil Brown taking control. So good he's been out of work since 2011.
