Interestingly (because I looked), Massey (t'other one - Roy) scored all three goals in a 3-0 League Cup victory at Elm Park back in '69.

Must be the first cup game I can remember at Layer Rd, where U 's keeper Ron Willis got kicked in the face above the eye, bravely diving at the feet to a oncoming striker, and saw him being stretchered into the ambulance behind the changing room at half time. Looked like he had gone ten rounds with Ali.
Roy Massey, with short curly blonde hair, must have been the first regular striker I remember together with Brian Gibbs, scored that day in a one all draw .
Can smell the linament now !

A classic 3-3 draw at Bramall lane, I remember it well.
