Round 2 Results BRADFORD CITY 1 OLDHAM 2 This was Oldham's third away win in eight days and they have now won six of their last seven matches. 4 got this spot-on, and another 3 had the outcome. CHELTENHAM 1 CREWE 1 (Cheltenham won 2-1 AET) Striker George Lloyd's extra-time header steered Cheltenham into the third round of the FA Cup. 5 had this spot-on, and nobody got the outcome. GILLINGHAM 2 EXETER 3 Exeter make into the FA Cup third round for only the third time in 18 seasons. Nobody got this spot-on, but 7 did have the outcome. HARROGATE 0 BLACKPOOL 4 Harrogate fail to make the FA Cup third round for the first time. Nobody had this spot-on, though 22 did get the outcome. NEWPORT 3 SALFORD 0 Newport take advantage of Salford going down to 10 men when the score was 0-0. Nobody got it this spot-on, but 19 did have the outcome. PLYMOUTH 2 LINCOLN 0 Plymouth bounced back from successive league defeats to beat Lincoln in the FA Cup second round. Well done to durham_exile for being the only one to have this spot-on, and another 11 got the outcome. PETERBOROUGH 1 CHORLEY 2 Chorley make the FA Cup 3rd round for the first time, as the came from behind to shock Peterborough. Again no 3 pointer for anybody, and only TheFatGooner had the outcome. BARNET 0 MK DONS 1 MK Dons win it with their first shot on target in the 82nd minute. Surprisingly no spot-on here, but 22 did get the outcome. CARLISLE 1 DONCASTER 2 Only a second home defeat in eight home games for Carlisle. 6 got this spot-on, and a further 5 had the outcome. MANSFIELD 1 DAGENHAM & REDBRIDGE 1 (Mansfield won 2-1 AET) Mansfield win it with a goal in the 122nd minute. 2 had this spot-on, and nobody got the outcome. MARINE 0 HAVANT & WATERLOOVILLE 0 (Marine won 1-0 AET) Marine go through to the FA Cup third round for the second time in their history with a goal in the 120th minute. 2 got this spot-on, and 2 also had the outcome. The FA Cup continued to be as unpredictable as usual, and 5 games failed to have a 3 pointer. At least the other 6 did manage to have 20 between them, and the 92 outcomes made sure everyone put some points on the board. Six members did well to have 2 spot-ons, the best of which was gsy163, who got an excellent 11 points, and he is the rounds top scorer. THE TABLES (20 out of 30 played) (Tie-breaker: Most 3 pointers, and then the first to post) By having the Doncaster 2-1 spot-on blueeagle maintained his 5 point lead, and is looking good for a quarter-final spot. Two 3 pointers, the Oldham 2-1 and the Mansfield 1-1, have moved Lewis_1 up into the other qualifying place. But it is only on the most 3 pointer rule from sevebalo, who made a great recovery from missing the first round, by getting the Marine bore draw spot-on, and an impressive 7 outcomes. A good recovery also from unitedwhites, after firing a blank in the first round, keeps him in contention. Despite failing to have a 3 pointer so far burnsieespana is not without hope. The two"Gooners" need to produce something special in the final round of games. Having the Doncaster 2-1 spot-on was enough to keep mfb_cufc top, but only just, as two spot-ons, the 2-1 wins for Oldham and Doncaster, moved ghughes11 up into the other qualifying spot, just a point behind. Two 3 pointers also for Daniel, the draws at Cheltenham and Marine, keeps him well in contention, just a point further back. It is looking like any two from those three for the quarter-finals, but Tropical_Us may have something to say on that with a decent final round. The other three have it all to do. This is a close group and all seven will go into the last round with some sort chance of qualifying. After his excellent first round RSCOSWORTH had to settle for 3 outcomes this time, but it was enough for him to maintain top spot. The only one in this group to get a 3 pointer this round was Sector4, the Oldham 2-1, and he moves up into the other qualifying place. But it only on the most 3 pointer rule from oxfcolu. Just like Group C this group is close, especially at the top. By having the Doncaster 2-1 spot-on to go with his good Plymouth 2-0 pick durham_exile maintains top spot. But again it is only on the most 3 pointer rule from medicine_man, who the Cup brings out the best in him. Snapping at their heels are gsy163, whose top scoring performance had the the Oldham 2-1 and the Mansfield 1-1 spot-on, and BFG, who had the Oldham 2-1 and the Cheltenham 1-1 spot-on. A decent final round is required to give wessex_exile and noah4x4 any chance of qualifying. The Round 3 Fixtures These games are all due to kick-off at 15.00 on the Saturday, but in the earlier rounds of the FA Cup games got moved at short notice. If it happens in this round I will be prepared for those changes. There are no replays, so games are settled after 90 minutes. Extra time does not count. If any games are postponed the final Group positions will be decided by the remaining fixtures. The usual tie-breaker rules apply for the Groups, so posting first could have an advantage.
