Is he better than George though? You'd expect Turner's next move would be to go and be number one somewhere. We've struggled previously when we haven't had a clearly defined first choice keeper. |  |

Think he needs to work on his distribution, and I don't think he's ready to replace Shamal in goal, but it is encouraging that he has been so assured in his matches so far. If Newcastle ever chose to let him go, I'd be very keen to see us sign him. | |

The only uncertainty was when the seniors wanted Turner to come and claim possession. Either keeper could do nothing about the goal conceded on Friday.
George makes more spectacular saves, but Turner is better with the all round basics, and has more presence about himself .
Both strong in different areas, think it is the strongest pair of keepers we have had for some time. |  |
